Yeonmi Park is a NORTH KOREAN defector and activist, one of the few in the world who successfully fled from North Korea. She tells a heartbreaking, unbelievable story & you should definitely listen to the whole episode. This video does not do her justice, but go ahead and listen to the whole story, your jaw will drop. She's a known liar. She said in this very podcast that rats were eating the EYES of the people in the hospitals and children would eat the rats and rats would then eat the children lmfao. She's told a million nonsense stories like this. She also claim there is no word for love in North Korea. I mean cmon 😂.. The Grayzone with Max Blumenthal and Ben Norton did a segment about a year ago where this exact lady came up becuase her lying was so outlandishly hilarious. She's an establishment shill. Sorry to burst your bubble. On another note I think you're kinda putting Joe Rogan on blast by posting clips like this one. You fell for the emotional manipulation noob. Get a grip.

The US desperately needs to change their approach and strategy on North Korea. Isolation and sanctions have not only not worked but have also created a regime that has no challengers of any kind in the country. Lift our sanctions and allow them to trade with the world, let businesses get in there and you will improve the lives of all of those people but you will also put in entities capable of challenging the regime. We need to try something different. As much as the North Korean people are suffering because of their own leadership, the US has caused a hundred times more suffering to them with our policies.

My Dad was a strong man. At 5'9", he towered over all 6'3" of me. He never graduated from High School, or went to College. Before he turned 30 years old, he had a wife and 5 children to provide for. We never went hungry, but he did. His clothes got a bit ragged, ours didn't. He worked every day of the week, sometimes two or more shifts. Only once did I really hear him curse his life. Only once, but he saw what it did to us. Saw it in our eyes. I complain too much. I wish I was one twenty part the tithe of my Dad. I'd be ten times the man I am. Still, I may be getting wiser. Nowadays, whatever happens, I think of him. The rest is easy.

I grew up in Donetsk, Ukraine, my grandfather was 5'6" 130 lb jewish guy. My dad's family is from Nikolaev. When nazis invaded in 1941 and started bombing the city, people tried to flee, there was chaos, thousands of people on the railway station trying to board trains. He stood at the door and said "Until my family is boarded nobody is getting in". And nobody did. I wish I was like him, never knew the guy, he died long before I was born. PS. My mom's father was an officer in Soviet Army, he died near Kiev in 1941, he was 26. RIP grandpas!

My Father was a Hard Warrior (W.W.2, Korea & Vietnam [Twice]) and the Soft Times that he provided for his family through his hard work and sacrifice (plus our country's environment) produced Soft Sons. I always marveled that I could have been the Son of such a Man (Mexican Policeman, Mexican Army, U.S. Army (Master Paratrooper [82nd & 101st Airborne] & Instructor/ Helicopter Mechanic/Pilot & Instructor), 18 Wheel Mechanic + Southern Pacific Railroad Mechanic.). The Soft Times that followed allowed his sons to grow up soft. (Much to our detriment.) I realize that Hard Times are coming and to meet them, I am becoming Hard ahead of those times. It is not easy because I have become so soft but I have to. It will go worse for me if I don't. Getting old, especially alone and without family is not for the weak. I have been given the signals and am responding in kind. I care enough about myself to train and get ready for the Struggles Ahead. Covid, the Poor Political Leadership, the Economy, etc. are just the beginning of the New Hard Times. It will get Harder before it gets Easier. Like a Sword, we.will be Hammered and Tempered to Gain Strength, Resiliency and Flexibility but there will be those who will Crack and Break in the Times to Come.

Joe’s right that there are realities you can’t ignore but if you’re an avoidant toxic positive, it doesn’t help. No amount of “positive communication” is going to make a layoff more pleasant for instance. What we should be talking about is “why did this happen” and “how can this never happen again”

He provided for all of us, my Mother worked her ass off during that same time. 16 years, in all that time they met for a sum of 3 years (per year they would meet a month sometimes two or a week). When he came back, he wasnt the same man. We werent the same either. I went through so much pain in his absence. I wasnt safe. But i didnt give up. I built myself into a hardhitting monster. My fathers pride isnt me achieving that, but only using that in times of need. Its been 6 years since he came back, my parents gave ecerything to build this family. Today I follow in their footsteps. Making sure they are loved, cared for and safe. My dad and I had issues. He was used to doing everythibg alone (so was i). Thrn ofcourse the huge gap cuz of his absence in my developmental events. If he was weak, i wouldnt be typing this. If my mother was weak, i wouldnt be typing this. If i was weak, i wouldnt be typing this. Being sensitive, caring, loving isnt a weakness. My dad is far from your typical hardened man in the way we usually imagine one from around the generation of boomer. He is kind, friendly, gets along with everyone and a real softy, they don't write movie dads this good. Yet despite that he was in his own right a strong man, a good masculine figure. He worked hard and if I cast my mind back to my youth now that I am an adult I can say that he could not have earned very much. The car was a piece of crap, we lived in a small town, he came home in overalls, but man he worked and never complained. He would come home to a house full of kids from the neighborhood, and instead of complaining that he had a long day and doesn't want kids around, he came outside and played sport with the kids of the block and you would swear nothing was bothering him. He left work at work and kept his stress to himself. I have said this many times, if I could be half the man he was I would consider myself a success.

My Main issue with the “Weak men create hard times” meme is that is seems like it’s being touted as this never ending cycle which also demonizes good times. Good times are what we live for, so hopefully we can get our shit together, have good times, but also keep strong and prepared for shit to hit the fan.
@Dunseith27

It's not about demonizing good times. In nature most things happen In cycles, and what is lacking is memory of the bad times and people feeling no need to change a poor course of action.

Great man? He is a comedian who has broken many laws by using all the drugs that are illegal. He has never done anything in service of the country. Never served in the military, police, teacher, given back to his community. Dropped out of school to be an actor and jokester and he's passable at both. Given the size of his head, I suspect he's using steroids which are also illegal. He is uneducated and spouts of about topics he know very little about. He is a commentator for modern day gladiators and has an opinion show. Where exactly is the greatness?? Making lots of money doesn't make one great. This is exactly what is wrong with the US. It's a cult of personality and the people who are truly great and do God's work, no one ever hears about....

In fight club, in the end the male only group blew up modern female civilization. In the comments here, unfortunately there are only simps eager to be pets to women, and to go shopping at ikea at her whim, carrying her shopping bags saying yes dear.
