I met Piper once years ago as a teen, probably 1999 or so. He was opening a new car dealership in Portland, and there were probably 50 people there to get his autograph, myself included. Got my picture taken with him and his autograph....the picture is long gone unfortunately, but I still have the autograph. Guy was a one-of-a-kind. He told my father and I a story about how Ric Flair on flights would go into the lavatory, strip completely naked, put on his robes, and come out and serve drinks on the plane. XD Dammit, I wish I still had that picture! I could totally see him carrying a pistol around with him, lmao. RIP Hot Rod.

I still remember that night like it was last night. My dad and uncles were shocked and swearing, my late mom and aunties were shouting and yelling in horror, my younger cousins were crying in fear and I was so excited and moved closer to the TV my father got confused and yelled at me to step back so the cobra won’t attack me.
