The dialogue in Curb is so natural. Like everyday people talking and being hilarious.
@hoopmooy35433 жыл бұрын
It always annoyed me how shows weren't more accurate to real life. I know if you made it accurate with people flubbing their words and the occasional stutter, it would throw the flow of a show off but there's so many other things (like people laughing at each other) that they never even attempt. Except Curb obviously.
@billdungsroman1013 жыл бұрын
That’s because there isn’t actually any scripted dialogue. It’s retroscripted
@tmrevenge2 жыл бұрын
Exactly, it's not insulting us with a dumb laugh track. It's natural comedy
@TheSynking2 жыл бұрын
Only because the cast are great at improv, a lot of the guest actors are bad though and drag the scenes down which has become more of an issue across the series.
@kilgoretrout3212 жыл бұрын
I don't mind if it's unnatural as long as it's good. Because old-ass movies have super unnatural dialogue, yet they're very entertaining. Natural-sounding dialogue is just one way to do a show/movie, and it can suck too. A lot of shows try to be overly natural and the writing goes nowhere

I used to watch it when I was 13. I can remember their way of doing comedy is very specific that if you were get the so called reference you can laugh but that reference is so specific more than 90% of your demographic won't be able to understand. Show's representation of "nerd" culture is so bad. Nerds or geeks or radical humans can't find it funny but some out of touch people can find funny. Just like Jimmy Kimmell (or media in general) and e-sports. Only reason I continue watching is I after many hours wasting my time am kinda invested in characters (even though they're terribly written). Reason for that is I spent many hours watching them they became oddly familiar. Still I prefer other comedy shows It's Always Sunny etc.

They nailed the state of comedy today and how beyond stupid and dull network 'comedy' is today. Glad I don't watch any of it. The few times I have tried watching a new show on a network, I lasted 5 minutes before my brain could not take the dumb.
@nathanhensn87175 жыл бұрын
Drea East Coast I almost felt like the only one! I dissed "The big bang theory" more then a few times and people always responded by saying "Well maybe you should try to watch it again, the jokes go over my head too". The jokes themselves are so overtly highbrow or in your face. There's nothing enjoyable for me with a show like the "Goldbergs" or with any other broadcast network show. Who needs that anyways with the amount of comedy content on the internet?

I mean The Big Bang Theory is complete trash they don't even get nerd culture right. Sillicon Valley on HBO, they get it right. Back to Big Bang Theory how it got nominated is beyond me. Watch it's always sunny in Philadelphia and compare it to the big bang theory and see which one is better.
@epsleon5 жыл бұрын
I hated Silicon Valley so much by the end of season 2. Nerds invent something brilliant. They struggle to finance it. They enter a shady business deal and lose control of their invention. They sabotage themselves and their business in the most retarded way imaginable and invent a different brilliant thing. They enter another shady business deal. They lose control of the invention and sabotage themselves in another spectacularly stupid manner. They create a new thing and have to find money to make it work. I assume the cycle continued in season 3. A character that inept became unwatchable due to how impossibly stupid/naive he was.

@mohammedhussain67495 жыл бұрын
Because people end up caring about the character over time and so they renew it and it becomes of the best shows just because you want see what to them. Plus Jim Parsons like it or not is a great comedic actor and he did carry the show for the first few seasons but when they started focusing more on the secondary and wider cast the show did start to decline.
