I was prescribed Ambien. I apparently crawled down the hallway complaining about people living in the air vent. Another time, I made online purchases for things I didn't need or even want. I have so many more stories like this, but suffice it to say, I quit taking it and I believe her.

Just started watching due to a friend's recommendation...very impressed with Joe Rogan. So, in comment to this particular episode, agree 100%, I took Ambien years ago, was told I was up, having full fledged conversations, performing tasks, etc., but I had ZERO recollection. That was enough for me. That stuff is scary!! Who knows what you could do? Especially if you're alone! Nope, no thank you.

I knew nothing about ambien I only knew I couldn’t sleep due to PRSD my doctor wouldn’t give me ambien because he said a guy he went to school with took it and killed his whole family.

Once i visited psychologist and started to explain my issues. She directly wanted me to refer to psychiatrist and offered me Ambien like medication. I refused right away and never visited her again. That was 10 yrs back when i was in college. These Doctors doesn't care about side effects they only want to sell these expensive pills to you. I am fine now without her help. I started meditation and focused on positive aspects of life. Self motivation worked for me.

I think one reason it may have happened so fast is because of ABC's awareness of the inappropriateness of some of her past tweets, pictures and statements. Someone at some point must have sat her down and warned her to be on her best behavior. What happens? Less than six months on air...this. ABC decided to cut their losses and I don't blame them. Roseanne was always going to be a ticking time bomb for them. That said, I am just, deeply sad for her. To self medicate so irresponsibly, to the degree with which she is doing it; she must be in nine kinds of pain. I hope she gets better. On the Ambien thing, I did the math for my budget and bought like $200 of silk on eBay. Turns out Ambien did not improve my math skills. Neither did it change the fact that I'm obsessed with textiles. My only problem with believing Roseanne didn't know Jarret was black...well, one of them is that Jarrett is like, famously black and Roseanne is extremely active politically. Hard to believe she had no idea. But I do get why it's something she'd fudge the truth on a bit, given that people pay far too high a price socially these days for the kind mistake she made. We're all a little bit racist, it's about managing it in a way that doesn't hurt other people's feelings and apologizing when we do. Anyway, the main reason she has creditability issues for me is the whole "I didn't know she was black", thing was one of half a dozen excuses Roseanne gave for posting the tweet. If she's going with multiple choice for explanations...I'll just keep waiting for the truth to arrive. My feeling is that she's not a hood-wearing racist. Sooooo... is that woman black? It says she was born in Iran. Most Middle Easterns mark "White" on censuses and other government forms. They rarely ever identify as "black" and when they do, it's for political and celebrity reasons. I had a friend who took Ambien and ate her $5000 uninsured hearing aids. My husband was murdered by a disgruntled employee who claimed “involuntary intoxication” as his defense- he claimed ambien and Wellbutrin caused him to stab my husband to death. He’s in jail now - the judge didn’t buy it.

I was on ambien & used to eat, text (sometimes it was gibberish), walk, & hold conversations all while I was ASLEEP!! I had absolutely no recollection of anything! Idk if that was true for Rosanne, but it never made me make racist comments.. Just sayn

This ruckus woke up my wife, and because of this, I had an actual witness (eventually) to explain what had happened to me when I found the disaster in the kitchen the following morning: the kitchen was **_destroyed_** from my "cooking experiment"! There were coconut and berry splatters all over the walls, ceiling, and floor. There was a huge puddle of some kind of oil on the floor in front of the refrigerator as well: apparently I had tried to "put away" a drinking glass filled with oil, by **_trying_** to put it into the fridge - I say "trying" because what I did was open the fridge, drop the cup on the floor in front of the open fridge, close the fridge back up, and then **_totally ignored_** the fact that it had all just splashed onto the floor [I had just left it sitting there!].* *So, the next morning, I wake up to my wife is staring at me from a chair next to the bed. Kinda creepy, right? Before I could ask her what the hell she was doing sitting in a chair next to our bed, I had to **_BOLT_** to the bathroom to vomit: my Midnight Buffet" had already begun to ruin my day...* *To cut this story short, we had a very long talk that morning, and rather quickly figured out what was going on, since it happened the very first night I had taken an Ambien from the doc's promotional package of four(?) pills, and the fact that my wife knew I had taken a sleeping pill when she came out to find me destroying the house: smart woman! She put it all together fast enough to realize not only what was happening, but to decide to just watch over me to make sure I didn't hurt myself - an experience she described as both terrifying, and "terribly entertaining"...* *Around lunch time - after I had finished vomiting and pissing oil out of my ass for several hours - I called the doc and told him to forget about "sleeping pills", as they would end up keeping me **_permanently_** awake. He didn't believe that what had happened to me was related to the drug - it was a completely new drug, in a completely new **_class_** of drugs, and he was certain that if it had the ability to do this, then the FDA would have "picked it up during clinical trials" - so he recommended that I see a neurologist to determine if I had experienced some kind of sleep seizure, or, if that failed, a psychiatrist - to deal with whatever "inner daemons" I was trying to work through. I thanked him, and then just ignored his suggestions. I was certain that this just **_had_** to be a drug related event - not because of how crazy it looked, but because I had a **_total_** amnesia for the event. In fact, I couldn't even remember taking the pill, or even going to bed. It took around 2 more years for these Ambien "overdose" cases to become known throughout the medical community, and when my doc finally had an FDA warning letter in his hand about this strange side effect, he both stopped writing scrips for Ambien altogether (or so he said), and apologized for "not believing [me]".* *After this, I can totally believe anything said with "because Ambien". Seriously. I have now heard dozens of stories that made mine sound **_extremely_** mild, from my various medical friends! I really don't understand why these new drugs (Ambien and Lunesta being the two worst offenders) are even allowed to continue sales? Serious side effects like this are funny after the fact, assuming nobody gets injured or killed, but I have exactly **_zero_** doubt that this isn't happened to at least a few people. If we allow even a single death at the hands of Ambien, after we have known of this horror-show side-effect for more than 15 years now, we as a society, are lost. Utterly and completely, lost.*

The moment that they decided to bring Roseanne back, they should have taken her social media away from her as a stipulation. It's not like this was unexpected. The way she's acted the past few years on Twitter, it's not surprising at all that this happened. What is surprising is that Disney and ABC allowed her to keep her social media and it wasn't a stipulation in her contract. With as tightly-wound as Disney is, you would think that they would have seen this coming like the rest of us. Not saying that the rest of us saw it coming to this extent, but you can't look at the rest of Roseanne's Twitter page and then be surprised by these recent tweets.
