I'm 68 and a lifelong fitness guy (started at age 8). About 5 years ago I had to quit pushing heavy iron. Nagging injuries and all the other usual suspects. Went with Pavel's Simple and Sinister, now doing his AXE program. Added in Animal Flow and Overcoming Isometrics. Feel great, look good, and starting to think I might live forever.

Same as. I’ve been doing kettlebells 15 years now best thing I’ve ever done. I’m 55 years old have to pass a fitness test every 3 months and smash it every time beat most of the younger members of team. Kettlebells is the absolute answer to anything.

Two points, one, Joe says "the heaviest", meaning that he is not necessarily using 32kg all the time. Two, is he using hard or soft style? It would definitively change the workout dynamic

As a 60, soon to be 61 year old man, I’m more concerned about practical of functional strength. It’s why I’ve loved kettlebell workouts for the past three years or so.

Addition of clubs or mace is also a great option. Does wonders for your core and shoulder health.

@BellofattoBrews same here at 42. I worked as a concrete and arborist worker for 20 years. Broke my back when I was 21. I didn't know I did at that time, and I thought it was a ripped muscle. Went on to do 14 mma fights after that. I'm just trying to keep in one piece kettlebells, reverse hype, glute ham raises, and pull-ups are making me able to still be active even with a vertebrae that's bone to bone.

He got started in kettlebells following Kieth Weber’s programs. They are tremendous and I highly recommend them. But people need to understand he started out with 35 lbs and added weight over time. He is also taking TRT, eating clean, and using tons of supplements. He is also a lifelong athlete and has never really been out of shape. Don’t compare yourself to a celebrity.

honestly i started kettlebells at a crossfit gym, got some for home, so quit that gym. went back to a regular gym and quit during covid. now all I do is the bells at home, got some more. love using them..

your videos are awesome. currently building my first home garage gym. got everything i need save for a good set of kettle bells. heavily leaning towards and adjustable one! i used to use the kettle bell kings but i wasnt a huge fan of the competition style handle and the way the change weights worked. im leaning towards an ironmaster set. do you have any recommendations? excited to see you try rogans workout!

Lebe hope you’re doing well. Love your content. As I’ve said before 55 years old fitter than ever because of kettlebells. I see other people at similar age and older saying same. Isn’t it just fantastic 🎉 to hear. Never met you but you ooze enthusiasm for your craft. Please keep up your great work. My go to is armour complex with dips and pull ups. Best wishes mate.

Im 170lbs and can overhead press 65lbs dumbbells strict press. I think Joe Rogan being bigger can press that weight strictly.

Swap the renegade rows for a bentover hang row. It has a much better range of motion and muscle extension.

Not interchangeable imo. Renegade Rows are anti rotation core intensive.

Can you please giving an example for 1 session exercise. from warming up, conditioning, and cooling down for 40-60 min. with a single kettlebell. Thank you

In the clips you used, he stated the heaviest weight he used was 70lbs. He could be using lighter weights for some of the exercises.

I learnt kettlebels over 10 years ago. Along with kettle bells the trainer also intruduced me to the club bell, Have you used club bells? Could you maybe do some training with that tool.

In my opinion, if you have been training for years like Joe has, a 32kg strict press for sets of 10 is perfectly reasonable.

At 68 and after almost 6 years of kettlebells and no gym and ni heavy bells I concentrate on combos of the basic moves. About 20-25 minutes and then 15-20 of walking. Stretching before the bells and intersect some body weight squats between sets. So.... functional basic routines to maintain my mobility. BTW, Joe has mentioned before he's on HRT from time to time and that's why he looks massive

Joe said he didn't go heavier than 70 lb. So i doubt he uses 70 lb for all his exercises.

Joe Rogan is a beast, many of you underestimate him but he is Indeed a beast. Try taking testosterone in your fifties or even forties and see if you can do his workouts and endure his everyday schedule.

Bench press is useless for guys with normal and long hands. Because of range of motion and you can’t move your shoulder blades, but you need it if you want full chest movement. I was a powerlifter and pressed a lot but what I found that gymnastic rings dips much better for chest

This is overtraining imo. I do 15-20m everyday and make intense. No more than 200-300 movements, shape of my life at 48. Don’t eat crap, only drink on holiday.
