Only just stumbled onto this channel but certainly makes me feel more sane. The culture of ice baths and male posturing has infected the comedy-podcast world. Certainly nothing wrong with trying to lead a healthy lifestyle but we dont need comedians telling us to be more like David Goggins. I listen to podcasts whilst doing my mundane job as a form of escapism - I dont need to be told the best regime to improve my performance when I come out of a 2 hour teams meeting. I want to hear about why animal hybrids are running the media and why caffeine is used as a mind control drug.

He hasn’t exhausted all guests, he’s just stopped looking. There are billions of people on this planet and many of th are extremely interesting. The majority aren’t tho, so he needs to look, or get someone to look. And need to do better than this yes. A lot better. Honestly, you know who would be a great guest? You dude. I’d love to hear you and Rogan sit down and talk candidly about the state of things, hear his responses to you, as an outsider and representative of rational fandom, holding a looking glass up and telling it like it is. I bet it would be informative and actually helpful to him, and also we would gain some perspective we might not know about as outsiders. I think ultimately most of us are fans of Joe and want him to do well, and he’s suffering more and more from myopia trapped in his little bubble. We all can see it, and it’s causing his downfall.

@@TheGateuxbut people will stop listening. The guests are what make JRE. Joe’s strength has always been his interviewing skills, and sitting the right people down to talk to. One or two more of these kinds of episodes and I’m out. Will start cherry picking episodes to listen to based on guests rather than regularly listening as a subscriber. My time is too valuable to me to waste on listening to these kinds of people and conversations.

How is this guy going to criticize anyone for "getting those ad dollars". He is quite clearly doing the exact same thing. I'm sure he's even done the insane self-censoring with words like "sex, rape, gay" just to maintain monetization. Just because he doesn't make as much money as the subjects of his videos, it doesn't exclude him from the same group of people making money via advertisements on their content.

As someone from the great white north I've had my fair share of brushes with cold water, like once wakeboarding in early spring. I was having a good run popping some big air and working up a sweat but also did not to take an initial dip and just launched from the dock. If you experience hypothermia it will scar you worse than a lucid nightmare. You'll feel fine but all of your extremities simply stop working and turn to mush. As you slowly bobble lower and lower the blood rushes to your core leaving your arms and legs motionless. Luckily I was pulled on board of the boat but a few more seconds I would of sunk to the bottom of the lake. Don't do it unsupervised or with someone unaware of the risks involved it's no joke.

You made decent points about these ladies, they stink. The rest of the stuff though, was borderline nonsense. You're criticizing him for being active in maintaining his mental health? Did you consider that maybe, just maybe, his level of dedication to his physical health and his profession is the reason he's rich and highly successful? You suggest that there's something wrong if he has to do all these things to be healthy, is he supposed to just not do them and be unhappy and unhealthy? Most of the time I can get behind your videos, but this one was 90% nonsense.

No I think you're missing the point there is nothing wrong with working out and take care of your health ... but to the extend that you Rogan is doing is just not normal. And if he needs to do all of those things to be happy (that's just not normal) ... Imagine it being normal, how would society benefit from guys only doing cold plunges and being in the gym all the time. And now you're seeing other comedians like Tom Segura imitating this extreme behavior which is making them less funny/ relatable. It's starting to collapse.
@Manleydanley
@Manleydanley 5 ай бұрын
@janboomstam1727 They're not normal, you're right. But they aren't in a normal situation either. We can't know the pressure they feel to keep being funny (and relatable). What it feels like to have millions of eyes on you. It's great that some guys, like Shane, remain relatable and funny. He's the exception though. We just can know what it feels like to be under the pressure that these guys are under, so it seems pretty absurd to pass judgment on what they do to remain happy and healthy.

I don't blame the guy for losing the plot when someone decides to throw tens of millions of dollars his way because he's the flavour of the month.
