The song is amazing as is the video. ZZ is a very talented filmmaker. I love his work. I just can't wait for the new album. I have no words to describe what your music means to me, it's very deep and emotional and no other guitarist on this planet comes close at what you do. Long live Satch! The Master of the Art.

@ballbreaker96 2 жыл бұрын
@@arthurkairo There's definitely a solo in there, not a shredding one but a cool pentatonic run and some greek mode along with it. Give it some more time, I'm sure it'll grow on you. Some songs are not just about solos and keep in mind Joe sort of abandoned most of his shredding in favor of themes that might speak to a broader audience. You can see that in his later albums.

Joe was a pioneer in the early days of the internet, one of the few artists to have an active presence on the internet, he would often visits the forums on his page to reply fans and they would have petitions there for concert setlist wishlists for people who wanted to hear some of the more obscure tracks on tour. Then right before broadband internet started to become more common (2000/2001) he was already broadcasting LIVE and FOR FREE some of his concerts. After the streams ended the files would be made available as regular downloads, again for free. (it would take an entire week to download and it felt so exciting, the anticipation) So many awesome memories with Joe's songs, there's an album for each time in your life and each one is so varied from the other you can pick favorites back and forth. Nerdy memories, but we're all nerds if you really think about it. LOL Thanks, Joe \m/

Joe, this is STELLAR first off. Second off I wanted to let you know how much your music and craft mean to me. My dad was a guitar player for 55 years and introduced me to your music. I was lucky enough to catch a show of yours with him before he passed. I didn't play guitar at this point but we had just found out he was sick (this was back in 2013 or so) and he let me know it was "Okay to sell his guitars", instead of that, I went out and bought my very first guitar (at about 30 years old) and had him begin to teach me to play while he still could. Long story short, he passed away in 2014 so I didn't get very many guitar lessons with him before he was too sick to play, BUT I am still playing today 7 years later. I am working on a few of your songs, and have actually ordered your signature guitar (which is basically my dream shred machine). I just wanted to say thanks for your music, and the fact that it brought my dad and I closer together, the fact that I get to play guitar, and that I get to hear your new tunes.

🎸 True story here... as a young lad, learning guitar in the early 90's, my good friends parents were like "What... You have never heard Surfing with the Alien before?" they proceeded to pull out the album, on vinyl and slam my lower jaw to the floor! This new song literally took me back to that moment! Thank you Professor Satch always for inspiring me (and pretty much every other guitarist I have ever aspired to!) 🎸

Классно!!! Для меня Joe Satriani был есть и будет Величайшим гитаристом-композитором!!! Пожалуй нет таких музыкантов, написавших столько композиций... Pink Floyd?

@@GabrielNardinMusic My father got alzheimer's at 64, I think it's really important to keep your brain working out as well as your body - he didn't do much on the brain front. I really didn't notice aging until around 60, then things just get a little harder each year, a few more aches, longer recovery after exercise etc. Let me tell you this though, the years go faster each decade. You're in your best years so go for it now what ever it is! PS: I'm writing, singing and playing better now than ever...there's hope!
