I saw him and the clash when i was 13 in a very poor border town by the name of Laredo, he choose the town when they were touring the us. Wanted the poorest of the poorest. I met him, he was smoking in the back of the building, wearing wayfarer cool glasses, he didn't act like celebrity, just a genuine person, human being. He asked about the things we did around there such as sports. When he realized we couldn't afford to go see the concert, we saw him approach a dude, argue for a bit. And he said, give your names to this dude. We went in to see the clash for free. He was a true human being, genuine. It broke my heart he was not alive to see the clash get inducted in the rock hall of fame.
