This is the perfect example of a friend, and better yet a solid man. Joe Strummer is a fucking legend! And this attests to his stand and don't take shit character. I bet John Wayne would've cowered to Joe!!

Some people think it's a fantastic idea to humiliate drug addicts. I completely oppose that, because I think drug addiction is intertwined with an overwhelming sense of shame. I got sick on a bus once. I wasn't even using, then. I was on my way to the methadone clinic, first thing in the morning, very early in my recovery. I rushed to the trash can, only to find the motherfucking thing bolted to the floor! All I could do was kneel on the dirty bus floor and projectile vomit (all fluid) in the direction of the bin as discreetly as possible -- by which I mean "not at all". Thank God that bus had a rear exit. I never mentioned it to the driver, and continued with that bus route for a long time. I'm grateful nobody gave me shit. They very well could have, because I looked like your classic junkie, and probably didn't smell all that great to begin with. It could have gone very badly for me.

Apparently they filmed him (Topper) puking in an airport with the band (probably due to his addictions) and they starting asking dumb questions/doing jokes. Joe was pissed and told them to f*ck off if they couldn't be serious and asking real/important questions about the band/music. I may be wrong but it's what I heard and read about this moment but english isn't my language
