Alright, let's be honest: this is a super personal and intimate podcast for me (Brandon). Not only do I love this band deeply, but I've always resonated with the themes of grief, love, and leftism - almost to an obsessive extent frankly. Simply put, this was a big episode for me and I am grateful for it. Thanks for listening.
Joe Talbot is the lead singer of IDLES, a rock band from Bristol, England. Their newest album "TANGK" is their strongest recording to date and continues to rule our playlists. Thank you for this interview, great sentiments being discussed throughout, I feel Joe’s thoughts about fatherhood being a father of two myself. I’ve been a huge fan of IDLES since about 2018, saw them for the first time earlier this year at Electric Brixton, and seeing them again in December.
