I think Joe Walsh is about the coolest, most humble, appreciative rocker I can think of, and just about the most under-rated guitarist ever.

I met Joe at his 4th year of sobriety party back in the 90s, I went with his (at that time) sponsor. I ended up his Barber for the next several years. He's as good as there is guitar wise, he's done a ton of studio work he's not even credited for. I believe he could've been a successful Stand up Comic had he not been a musician, he's 1 of the most naturally funny people I've ever met. He sharp and quick, he must've been a real maniac when he was "enhanced", lol.

Can you imagine him with Keith Moon or John Belushi . And when Joe was using. If you’ve seen the documentary about the Eagles he tells the story of him and John Belushi trying to get into a 5 star restaurant. I won’t spoil it but if interested watch the documentary. Walsh is probably the most naturally funny musician of all time.

@@damohanson5393 Like I said I met him in his relatively early sobriety. A self effacing sense of humor, with humility and very down to earth. Particularly knowing I'd only scratched the surface of the crazy lifestyle that'd he'd lived and made it out the other end.

Otis, so happy to have found this series. I especially lived this one. Makes me want to keep getting better at making up songs. Imagine you write a song and Ringo and Joe Walsh love it and...wow. Great story from a great songwriter! Otis, this idea to chronicle all these stories brilliant boss. Peace and love.

"The first time I had cops in front of my car" great stuff...I lived in Colorado and back in the late '70s-80s Joe Walsh had quite the reputation for let's just say enjoying the drink and other people's ladies.

Ray is a musical treasure and a good human. Back in 2007 when my wife and I and another couple tried are hand at promoting shows at the Old Leon Springs Dancehall in San Antonio Ray was the first show we booked. Judy, Ray and his guys were all class acts. We didn’t know what we were doing but it worked out and of course Ray was great as usual. Glad Ray is still healthy, sober and doing so well. Very cool story thanks Otis.

Al Jorgensen from Ministry recently said in an interview that Joe Walsh, who he was told was a big shot coke dealer in LA, sold him bunk coke. Not sure if or when it happened, but I like to think of Joe screwing over Al and it making him hate the Eagles, which is what he said happened 😂

Joe Walsh flew to Glasgow to play 4 songs for Frankie Miller, then flew home. Took the roof off the Barrowlands - the house band was part Lizzy, part SAHB, part Nazareth, and no one could hold a candle to Joe......

So Joe Walsh just randomly comments that you might just get Ringo or Dave Grohl, or somebody or other to jam your song later... I guess that's just a Saturday for some people - LOL.
