I can watch Joe ALL day. What a DAD. My dad passed away and I miss him so much. Gives me joy to watch Joe. LOL, "Sarah, Sarah, it's 4:00....time to wake up" Better than any TV show.

Wow, I have so many things I want to say. First off thank you, Joe, for sharing. It was terrific to see Sara again shes as beautiful as ever. Congratulations to Zach on the triple. Teresa if you are reading this I agree with using Dale's Steak Marinade it is the best. It sounded like you have to get it online. When I lived in Alabama, I bought it in half gallon jugs. When I first moved to Kansas in 2002, it wasn't available here, but now Kroger and Walmart sell. Joe being able to go camping and hunting with some of your children your father brothers and sister in law plus the dogs would be a dream come true to me. I can only imagine what a wonderful time it would have been. Thank you for sharing, I know its a lot of hard work. My health is deteriorating fast, but you have improved it. I wish I could have met you. You are a great man.

Always good to see the family out for the annual Duck hunting weekend opener Joe. I missed Max as well. I've been watching for the past 2 years now and feel like I'm there with you all enjoying the campfire, campfire cooking and the ambiance of the outdoors. Always good to see Sarah and Zach and Dad aka grandpa and the rest of the family. Hope we get to see a recipe or two with your harvest Joe. see you on the next video :-)

What a great video! Best thing about Joes videos is the family gathering for opening day of duck season! Then deer season and fishing openers! The main thing is the family does this together! And not just the hunt but time in camp talking and cooking meals etc! It doesn’t get much better than this! My three sons and I lived in Michigan we did this when they were boys to young men! Then two went off to two wars both became career army! My youngest went to medical school! I’m in Northern Arizona now and we do get together now and then for a camping trip! Joe you’re are rich man having your family with you on your adventures! Best channel on KZfaq I never miss a video! I see things many have never done and that’s doing things as a family! All of your hard work Is very much appreciated !

I used to live in MN back in the 80s and 90s and liked to grouse hunt around where you are at or the arrowhead area. But I swear I could leave the Cities Friday after work and it would be nice and sunny and about the time I hit Mille Lacs the rain would start. I just slept in the bed of the truck with a topper, but chasing the woods you would get soaked and I could never get a good enough fire to really dry out or warm up. Hunt Sunday until noon and head home and about the time I got to Mille Lacs the sun would come out. I had two Coleman lanterns but they were the white gas style and a two burner Coleman stove, best thing on any of my camping trips. Thanks for sharing your family hunting tradition, wish I could have been there too.
@JoeandZachSurvival

I loved the old pump up lanterns and stove. I still have some of them. I like weekends that are the other way around, raining in the cities but nice up north but it seems to more often than not the other way around like you said.

Great family video. I love that your daughter has a tent-cot. Hers is a single, but we have a double and love it. So easy! And it's cute she put it inside your HUGE tent! You know, I think breaking camp is one of the saddest feelings. Especially for just a weekend trip! I'm happy you got to spend time with your kids. You sounded so excited when they both showed up. ❤ I'm that happy about my boys, too. Never been hunting, but have enjoyed #CAMPLIFE for years. Open fire cooking is so relaxing for me. Enjoy your channel. Thanks for sharing, Joe.

Great time as always. My brothers and I have been going to the same river, same spot in the UP Michigan for nearly 30 years. The trip started as a bear hunt, then it evolved into a duck hunt for 20 plus years. The dogs are all gone now so the last 5 years the trip has changed once again into a walleye fishing trip. Love it. Your video's remind me of our great times. Thanks for sharing your passion. I wish everyone could experience the outdoors as we do.
