@@t0ny_708I don’t think it was a prediction tbh. This is why I don’t believe Drake fed Kendrick false information. @@Jman511x”Control” asked for smoke from ANYBODY. All rappers either respected it & stayed silent or responded (Big Krit). Drake is the only one that took it personal, again another notch in not understanding the culture. Drake then went on to throw subliminals over the next decade while Kendrick also threw subs while saying “Say my name and I’ll appear.” Drake never said his name directly. Then comes “First Person Shooter” where Drake asked for a Kendrick feature that he denied “Surprised when you sent that feature request. You know we got some shit ti address.” Then FPS comes out and Drake & Cole allude to be the only 2 at the top which leads to “Like That.” Kendrick has always wanted the smoke as an MC but Drake’s mistake was asking to make this a sewer fight. Kendrick said we can leave it at rap but Drake involved the family.

Drake thought he had a Nuke about Kendrick’s personal life and he believed what Pusha did to him he could do to Kendrick. Family Matters was the red button, but it was a one dimensional and predictable attack, and Kendrick anticipated it and delivered a masterful counter strike. I know for sure the room deflated shortly after Meet The Grahams was released. He wasn’t prepared for that at all and it was painfully apparent.

That’s why everybody keep saying, he’s not truly OF the culture because if he was he would know anywhere you go there’s politics specific to that region that its inhabitants and outsiders have to abide by. In L.A., especially if you from the street side of things which Drake likes to align himself with, your allegiance is first and foremost to your neighborhood, set, etc. No one from L.A. can “choose” allegiance to Drake over Dot because Dot IS L.A…..

@originalstorm6272 whats crazy is that for a long time, the westcoasts downfall was its disloyalty to eachother. The culture of LA taught rappers to be divided. And that shit spread like a plague. 2pac v Ice Cube, Eazy v Dre, Game vs Rass Kass, Mc Eiht v Quik, Death Row vs other underground westcoast rappers. Nobody had Pacs back during his beef with the eastcoast. But YG, Nip, Schoolboyq, TDE, Tyler Creator and his crew are all close in friendship. This new generation of westcoast rappers learned from the past. They a tight knight group. And Kendrick got LA producers providing the backdrop too (alchemist, Mustard etc.) Its a beautiful energy the westcoast providing rn

I am from Cali so I am biased as I have always been a big Kendrick fan. Drake's mistake is thinking that Kendrick is just another rapper. Kendrick Lamar is a Pulitzer Prize winner, and the first and only rapper to do so when it was only awarded to classical/ jazz musicians and/or composers. This award a'int a BET, AMA, Grammy, or Oscar award. It is one award, per year, and one reserved for music. Not even Michael, Jackson, Witney, Prince, or so many other legends ever got the award. Think about that. You never bet against true intelligence and people with talent to "create." Look how far ahead Kendrick was already prepared for. He literally warned Drake at the end of Euphoria. Don't speak on the family, crodie It can get deep in the family, crodie Talk about me and my family, crodie? Someone gon' bleed in your family, crodie.

Everyone thinks metro set this up, but Kendrick’s been building this for 10 years since the deleted ESPN tape gathering people who drakes offended to come at him full force. The battle was lost before it started. He used all these other guys to distract Drake and was willing to do the one thing no one else had the balls to do and that was to call out his weird grooming behavior. Kendrick is a student of war and showed what he learned. Notice how he didn’t let the battle rage on. He make a swift tactical strike and ended things on his terms.
