Bradley Paul Valentine I don’t think you get me. Look at Bret’s mannerisms, the way he talks and his gestures and expressions. Then watch a scene of American Psycho. You will get what I mean.

I respect the hell out of Bret, but I couldn't disagree more with him at 4:46 "Winter Soldier" is my favorite comic film partly BECAUSE it's deriding an all-encompassing police state.

That would be the "Marvel displays qualms" part. But that they always go back to status quo, which is true. I agree with Bret. However I disagree in the sense of "so what?" The MCU is not meant to be an expression of how its creators wish life to be in real life. Same for Dirty Harry. I like seeing a guy kick ass in the same of righteousness, but I would shudder if Dirty Harry were out there in reality.

Millenials think they know what they don’t know. Things came easy to them. They didn’t have to research, do their homework, or look at both sides. Basically, they’re just ignorent and uninformed.

This is very true about millennials, and even more so now about Gen Z. The amount of females on social media who are "experts", "scientists", "lawyers", "aero technicians", "pro athletes" and are so didactic and self important when they're regurgitating the same things they've read on Wiki or a Buzzfeed, usually with whatever monkey see monkey do dance is trending. They are the true definition of ultracrepidarianism

I used to think that BRET EASTON ELEPHANT was a genius until I seen a an interview with him (here on KZfaq by the way, which I believe has been removed), when he was at a book store explaining that 'I COULD NOT TALK ABOUT IT AT THE TIME, BUT AMERICAN PSYCHO WAS ABOUT ME FEELING ANGRY & LONELY'..................... well i've felt those emotions countless times in my life, but I've never thoought of mutilating women and ripping their genitals off with my teeth............... so if the book is about Bret (like he confessed) then BRET IS INFACT A TRUE BLUE PSYCHOPATH.

Wow don't get me wrong, I love Bret Easton Ellis' work, I've read Less than Zero, The Rules of Attraction, American Psycho, The Informers, and Lunar Park and enjoyed all of them thoroughly but he's really an idiot these days! I wasn't aware of what he's been up to until his recent book, White, was released and I saw a review for it. After that I read an interview he did, which pretty much confirmed what the article had been saying about what a hypocrite he is.

I mean it really just seems like a ploy to stay relevant after imperial bedrooms flopped, but I think it's too little to late. Let's be honest, Bret hasn't been relevant for well over 18 years and you can see it in the number of views he's picking up on all his interviews on KZfaq here.
