This makes me think of how Ibrahimovic has been accused of bullying certain players in Sweden's national team. Ibra himself has said it's bullshit and that he just demands more from players simply because he wants to win. Just like Keane. So there's a good reason why Keane and our Ibra have won so much. And why Walters and the supposedly bullied Swedish players haven't.
@philwill0123

Also shows why Keane hasn't managed since. Fact is as a manager, you have to know when to to react properly to situations. Roy has come across as a one dimensional manager. When it works, it works short term, but the fall out is toxic.

This guy is a bluffer and Keane can see straight through him. I’ve heard various versions of Jon’s story but Keane’s has always remained the same. If Walters wasn’t talking about Keane what would he be doing he wouldn’t be taking about an amazing career would he. He’s using Keane’s name to get on the media circuit and it’s worked for him. I did work for a person in Surrey UK 3 years ago, it turned out to be an ex pro footballer who was at Ipswich the same time Roy Keane was manager there this guy was a seasoned pro and actually finished his career at Ipswich. His first statement about Roy Keane was he said he was the only person ever in football he was in fear of. He told this story of a reserve team player that Roy had a go at after training the player got upset at the tongue lashing he was getting and Jon Walters stood up and said "gaffer you are out of order" Keane turned on him and said "let's take this outside". 5 minutes later the dressing room door burst open and Keane growled "who else wants a fucking go" Walters got a lesson and it wasn't in words the player told me. He said when both went out the team thought Walters would do Keane but they were stunned when the opposite happened.

A good podcast and happy to hear to other end of the Roy Keane story with Jon. Scored some needed goals for Ireland which he’ll be remembered for. Top man coming out with what happened in his life. All in all I’d be made up if himself and Keano sorted things out respectfully as men and not in the street. Top men who represented Ireland

I love these people siding with Jon Walters version of events. He's changed his story numerous times, yet Keane never has. Keane's had well known battles with the likes of Vieira, Ince & many, many others throughout his long career. He's got old teammates telling stories of dust ups with either them or other teammates, or how he (Keane) knocked them out cold ie Gabriel Heinze who, for my money, wasn't a shirk either & would murder Walters himself. Then you've also got the story of 5ft 11" Keane battering the 6ft 3" Great Dane Peter Schmeichel who, also for my money, would cement Walters too. And we're supposed to believe Keane is scared of Walters? To quote Keane himself - "Do me a favour".
