From Series 1 Episode 10 "A New Beginning": Kinney takes Joel with her on a Continuing Medical Education assignment in her hometown to help clear his head. During their visit, Kinney's old friend gets pinned underneath a truck; So, Joel and Kinney lead the rescue effort to save her life. Meanwhile, Charlie meets a deceased therapist who suspects Charlie isn't dealing with his own 'unfinished business'.

@@generalpatton6846 If you mean specifically reperfusion, that can be prevented with tourniquets and hydration of the patient while the limbs are dug out and possibly saved - whereas amputating in situ is, of course, guaranteed limb loss. (Source: spouse has been a first responder for over 35 years and has dealt with such incidents)

not sure how much you understand about science but if they dug underneath her the weight of the truck would continue to press down. Wouldn't make any difference.
