Thank you for this. Joel is one of my all time favorite theologians and pastors. I am going to a few trials including several deaths of loved ones in the past few months. I cry out on a regular basis to Jesus for the strength to continue doing what I need to do. Jesus is my strength and my shield. I cannot do without Him.

Amen. Beeke is easily one of my favorite contemporary theologians.

This was very good! We have to die to self, and live as Christ! Using this story of the gentile woman is a great example of the first step in Celebrate Recovery, "stepping out of denial". She doesn't deny she's a "dog" she admits it, doesn't try to change it herself, she doesn't lose faith, isn't insulted, but she looks to Jesus for the answer! We grow in grace by believing in Jesus: God's Word---no matter how impossible and hopeless things seem. So much life in the sermon! Beautiful!
