I love when the guest is late and the crew needs to vamp for a few minutes together beforehand. It helps with the team chemistry and wakes Bobo up so he's not half asleep during the guest potion.

Lightsaber building is fun, about $300. When I went they were giving them to us in a nice case, later in the day it appeared they stopped doing so. It lasted about a year, would randomly turn on just sitting there until the battery ran out. They feel a bit fragile so not something to play fight with.

I remember standing behind Joel McHale at a Mailbox etc. in the University Village near the Ave in Seattle many years ago and he was doing something with a SAG card, applying for it or sending it. Not sure but I think this was the time when he moved down to L.A. I just knew him from Almost Live at that time.

Joel McHale is rad. He hosted an awards show at my former job and was by far the most gracious. Even invited me to come watch a taping of The Soup.
