I am a follower of Lakewood Church and Joel Osteen since 1999. But this message, in the eyes of our today's society, can be at the root of our divisions and racism. Favoritism, connections, and who you know in the US define your future. However, talking about believes, yes, connecting to God will help you succeed, but how many people still believing in God and remained poor all their lives?

I came to Christ because I was a sinner. I came to Christ because my ways were broken, and wrong and full of sin. I came to Christ because He loved me enough to cover all my bad, and he was willing to give me all his good. Certainly, there are fruits to one's salvation, but if we are coming to the cross for personal gains, that isn't the attitude that honors God. The only "favor connection" we need is connection to Christ. I mean this guy has been going on and on, and I don't think I have heard him even mention Jesus once? God created us to worship Him, to love, honor and obey him. That's the message we all need to hear... the only way to exchange our ways for his ways is to fully surrender to Jesus. This is not the true gospel of Christ at all!

Find a true teacher of God's Word! Joel Osteen does not know his Bible... "My dear brothers and sisters, how can you claim to have Faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ if you FAVOR some people over others? For example, suppose someone comes into your meeting dressed in fancy clothes and expensive jewelry, and another comes in who is poor and dressed in dirty clothes. If you give special attention and a good seat to the rich person, but you say to the poor one, “You can stand over there, or else sit on the floor”-WELL, DOESN'T THIS DISCRIMINATION SHOW THAT YOUR JUDGEMENTS ARE GUIDED BY EVIL MOTIVES? Listen to me, dear brothers and sisters. Hasn’t God chosen the POOR in this world to be RICH in FAITH? Aren’t they the ones WHO WILL INHERIT THE KINGDOM He promised to those who LOVE HIM? But you dishonor the poor! Isn’t it the rich who oppress you and drag you into court? Aren’t they the ones who slander Jesus Christ, whose noble name you bear? YES INDEED, it is good when you obey the royal law as found in the Scriptures: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” BUT if you FAVOR some people over others, YOU ARE COMMITTING A SIN. I so agree, "favor connections" here again encouraging everyone to come to Christ for the goodies and failing to mention "deny yourself and take up your cross" This is not saving faith at all! We are to be seeing decrease in our life, not increase. Decrease of self and increase of Christ's ways. This guy is a slick motivational speaker at best. So so sad how many are drinking from this well.

Love this message! In fact, most of your messages have been very timely and inspiring! I listen to your sermons as I go for my walk , sometimes it’s back to back sermons for more than an hour walk and it’s been really nourishing for my spirit and mind! This particular message speaks so much to me for this season, as I have joined a so-called “competitor” in others’ eyes and now partner together in a new business venture. If it was the old me, I would have viewed it as a form of defeat of submission. But I have always wondered about their winning formula and wondered how they could grow so fast even during the pandemic where many have come to a standstill. It’s like they said,”if you can’t beat them , join them.” And so I really put down all the differences and in fact, I didn’t care much about pride or how people will see it, I just want to be with a winning team, I want to learn, I want to grow and most importantly, I want to succeed and make a positive impact like them. Dear Pastor Osteen. I deeply believe in your healing prayers from our Lord Jesus Christ our Mighty Healer. I just believe that the most important bulwark we have now is prayer. The only thing we believe is the last resort but the most miraculous and effective medicine left is "prayer". My uncle who is also a pastor is suffering severe colon tumor and its like very likely we could lose him anytime. Doctors had made recent operation on him to remove the tumor but it even worsen his case. I dearly solicit your prayers brothers and sisters in faith of our Lord Jesus, the Mighty Healer to please pray for my uncle. He always tells me when he was still well, that " we Christians should survive years of trials so that we could see it in the future that Our God is true and will keep His promises, promises that says...plans to prosper you and not to hurt, to give you hope .Jer. 29:11." How i wished that God will let Him survive this medical trying time for him to bless more our God in the future and say, God is merciful and our healer. My dear fellow Christians, anyone who read this story if you are willing pls pray for my uncle. I believe in miracles, as Pastor Osteen said, "the medical report is true, but God Has the Final say. " and by that statement im not closing out that a favor and miracle is yet to happen. I bless the name of our God. And sign this petition by the name of our Mighty Healer, Jesus Christ. Amen.

My favor connection became my fitness trainer back in January of 2020. Since then I've lost a total of 80 pounds! throughout this pandemic God has showed me what I wanted to do with my life as far as a career goes.
