For someone who is consistently the BEST with describing flavors and enjoying food on challenges the lack of any description on the chili is odd! Was it in the rules? It is clear when Joel says he won't have to have this on his list of having to do this challenge ever again it is clear what the food was like to eat.

Those patties were raw as well, he said they were good though and I wouldn't have an issue so long I know they ground their own meat mix and is really fresh.

The Hot pepper food challenges though. I have tried Carolina Reaper Hot Pepper Sauce and that's Just Too Hot. I can handle some really hot peppers but it's just Ridiculously Too Hot!!!

You generally should. Bacteria grows on the outer surface of meat so when you sear a steak you kill it and the inside can be as rare as you like since it hasn't seen the bacteria. When you mince meat you mix that bacteria throughout the mince and it will start growing. If the place you are eating minces their own meat then it's ok to have it rare but if it's not freshly minced it should be cooked all the way through.

That is an intense amount of cheese. A little bit of cheese, a little bit of chili is good on a burger. Too much toppings takes away from the taste of the beef for me, but everyone is different! Awesome job Joel, I knew you could do it!! Also great choice on the side, veggies are great :P

TEAK!!! Love their burgers, chili fries, and everything else. One of the best burger places in the Orlando area. LOVE IT! So many great burger recipes. For sure, a lifetime favorite burger of mine. Hard to beat.

I love chili & cheese on burgers...but its a must to use mustard as a condiment vs ketchup...mustard helps break thru all the fatty richness..and ironically it makes the chili taste better.. i love fresh onions on it too.. while broccoli is a healthy and less caloric choice...it does build up gas in the stomach leading to belly aches... i personally would have opted for a salad or green beans if that was an option. great job knocking it out!

My dad never cared for cheese. He would eat it but preferred not to. I always thought it was so odd. He was the only person I ever knew who didn't care for cheese. Then my middle son came along and he doesn't care for cheese either. I guess disliking cheese is more common than I thought. 🤷

As a diabetic, when I draw blood for the meter, I always whipe off the blood that comes out first as it has grease from your hands on it and can affect the numbers, and then put the remaining blood on the blood strip.

On a scale of 1 through 10,what in the chili actually tasted like CHILI'S OR CHILI? From Joel's reaction they created this to make him suffer. He again finished a challenge that was stacked against him. Joel needs to challenge the maker of the challenge and give them a 3 pound deduction in food. Good luck maker!!!!!!

Hey Joel. You’re supposed to check your blood glucose 2 hours after eating. For me under 180 is good. Fasting under 130 good. Also, you’re supposed to clean your finger with alcohol pad and let it dry before you take your reading. It makes a difference. Soap, lotion, food residue can affect the reading. Glad to see you levels are safe. Take care buddy.
