haha, the wolfpack can be a bit overly agressive sometimes, but yeah, the live performance is always better. Sure, for some songs, some of the instrumentally might be lost or something, but is a trade im always willing to make to see and hear this performances. Miho, didnt run in, she was on top of the platform with Haruna and just came down from it.

Earlier in Video after guitar solos you see Miho go back and get up on stage next to Haruna and the drums what you saw was her returning to the front stage area.

I decided to play three versions of the song using the Amazon Music HD app on my tablet and my Sony WHXB910N headphones. The three versions were from Glory, Glory to the World (ultra hd), In the Beginning (ultra hd) and Heavy Metal Never Dies (hd). I still think that the Glory, Glory to the World version sounds very good. It is the version I have listened to the most and is the version that I blast in my car (which sounds great). That being said the remaster on In the Beginning is a noticeable improvement. It seems to have more punch with added clarity. The sound on In the Beginning might be better than the live version on Heavy Metal Never Dies but what makes the live album so good is the separation of the guitars with Midori going to the left ear and Miyako going to the right ear. I wish that would happen on the studio albums and I am not sure why it doesn't. My comparison only involves the sound. I also would much rather watch well recorded live videos over their music videos. Just based on sound, however, the differences are noticeable but not enough to justify such night and day reactions to the same song.

Totally agree - when you've got musicians with this much talent Producers should just leave the f**k alone and let them do their thing . If they wanted to release a video ( and I understand why given the circumstances ) they should just have done a straight film of the girls performing the song

For me the studio version and the live version are equally perfect, the live one is not better, It's a completely different beast, that only LOVEBITES can produce, you have the impact of seeing and hearing the ladies masterfully play the songs. Everyone wanted to see a live version of this song. I think there are many people who feel that the official MV has been modified in various ways. I think that's why the anti-love bites faction continues to deny it. But if you watch a lot of Love Bites live videos, you should be able to tell if the videos have been edited and manipulated. I'd have to agree with you on this one. Some of the songs on album are a bit over produced and the synths are too forward, in my opinion. I prefer to hear the guitars and bass and drums, let the synth lie in the back to make the sound thicker, fuller, but on album it tends to dominate. Live is 10x better!

I was just thinking about your comment in relation to the mv and I understand the fans reaction to your criticism to it, however these type of fans worship the ground these women walk on and anything negatively said about them is sacrilegious! Everything that is done in the studio or for a mv is a polished article and can be tweaked and retweaked to make it sound and look good and that is where we are at today. Lovebites have been fortunate to sound as good if not better on stage which for me shows their prowess when performing!! However back in the late 70s and early 80s bands where toying with mv's and perfecting their albums to point of sounding good but going on stage a lot where found out to be literally inept and in truth terrible. I seen Saxon live which changed my perception of what I said previously on the " Eagle has landed" tour and their sound was identical to the album. Recording an album as you would play on stage as a group in the studio for me was revolutionary . Having worked part-time as a roadie and in the recording studio at grass roots level I agree with your assessment, however I enjoyed the video as it gives visual context to the song!! The 80s was a great period for all things metal and two guys I know, one as a friend still tour one with Def Leppard and the other with Quireboys!! Love your thoughts on this 😎🤟

The band is one of the best in the world of metal today! The song is great, with a deep meaning! The Music Video (which the reactor called "sucks") is great! The concert performance is great! I think some of their studio recordings use way too much orchestral elements - strings and horns, or at least have them much too high in the mix and overpowering the bass and guitar. Holy War is another one where I prefer the live version a whole lot more.

I remembered why I could never like Lovebites.... Although Asami give great charisma, great vocal quality, whole band music are great, but the singing style just doesn't make sense to me, although she can hit those notes, but the whole melody is so blunt, it doesn't "flow", it's up down, stop, flat, and "disconnected" all over place... It just doesn't make sense...
