Fairytail is an anime of magic guilds and the tattoo the have is a fairy with a tail. its one of the "Big Three" Animes. i watch it all two years since 2015. PS the blue cat his name is Happy 😉

Big 3 is Naruto One piece and bleach. Fairy tail started way after them

i believe they explain the meaning behind the name "fairy tail" in the second season. though you'll know why the anime is called fairy tail from the 1st episode.

You will notice that from the OP15 onwards the visual style is very different. There was a longer hiatus between the episodes 175 _(last episode with OP14)_ and 176 _(first episode with OP15),_ after which the overall visual style of this anime series pretty much changed, together with a redesigning of characters and a change in color palette.

Do fairies have tails? More than that, do fairies even exist? Nobody knows for sure. So this guild is like them, an eternal mystery, an eternal adventure. -hiro mashima the creator of fairy tail 👆 If you are going to watch fairy tail keep in mind the only filler are two big arcs and they both are cannon to the manga. Also fairy tail is getting a sequal fairy tail 100 year quest and it releases next month.

"When I think of FT I think of Happy" well actually that's the name of the blue cat... who's not a cat, he's an Exceed. In terms of popularity Fairy tail came out 2009. It outsold Bleach at one point and killed the big 3 era. Fairy tail possibly could've been a big 4 but it came out late and isn't "shonen jump". It's not underrated. Just over-hated and uncredited not because it's bad but because it was popular to hate it back in the day. It was like a punching bag where all good is ignored and they beat the dead horse of lies. Fairy tail does have dragons, demons, kingdoms, weird animals and knights just like a fairy tale but it's named that because the blonde kid who created the guild was asking if fairies had tails. She even has an opening for herself (OP 22). It's a heartwarming series that makes you forget how dark it is so when dark moments come, it's unexpected. Kinda like My Hero Academia.

The writing is AMAZING. People just don't pay attention and most watched it as a kid so they downplay the writing. It has the best female cast in anime (not debatable), one of the best when it comes to openings and ost's, most broken powers (stopping time and erasing existence is something the main villain doesn't care about), but overall everyone agrees that it's a feel good show. Fights, transformations, and matchups are 10/10 BUT some blueball us by not happening at all or ending early. People don't understand that every anime falls off after its initial blow up so it's not fuel to use against FT. It went on hiatus TWICE and came back with filler. Anime only blows back up during their final season or hiatus and yeah you guessed it... people are going crazy over the sequel.

Actually the premise of the guild is really do fairies have tails or do they not. It’s an eternal question never to be answered. The sense of adventure is through us all and the guild is the place for understanding why.

I think the reason a lot of people dislike how you only talk about the music (you are a drummer obviously) is because you're missing those "sad moments" in the openings that you say arent happening (just my thoughts)
