Thanks for watching, guys ❤In an upcoming video we will go in-depth with how exactly our home is 100% self-sufficient, but here are a few insights. We rock photovoltaic panels for solar power and store extra energy in lithium batteries, so we’ve got juice even at night. Our levada water irrigation system keeps our food garden, herb garden, and orchard looking lush and green (once planted and grown of course). We’ve got 70% UV block glass and mirror panels to keep the sun’s heat out. A heat pump gives us hot water, and our automated temperature control (powered by solar) keeps things comfy inside. Rain sensors make sure we don’t over-water, and wind sensors protect our shutters. Plus, a sunlight sensor decides when to turn on the outdoor lights. We’ve also got tank sensors that prioritize using levada and rainwater before tapping into the mains supply. We can't wait to make a video about all this, as being 100% self-sufficient is one of the greatest features of our home. Especially in this day and age! 😄

Amazing house, congratulations. For me it has only a minor flaw, the appliances in a house of that level can only be one brand: Mièle! But if I’m you wanted to buy it today it would be 3.5 ish :) Fun fact is that we bought the house with crypto. Unfortunately KZfaq doesn’t pay that well, maybe one day 😂Thanks for watching 🙌

@@stayclassyvlog I think you might need to update Idealista as I think the OP is correct; it's showing your very house as being up for sale for €3,495,000, "second hand/good condition" (last updated 7 days ago), it even shows your bonsai tree, unless this house is identical to your one, which I very much doubt as it's the right-hand most of the three. Amazing luxury home nonetheless, huge congrats to you both, with all the tireless work you do promoting our beautiful island, you deserve nothing less

Thanks, Ken! 3.5m€ for a house like ours, but it's also the highest level of finishes, material and design through and through. There aren't really anything like this as most houses built on Madeira. A lot of sub par houses are for sale at the 2m€ mark here on Madeira, which is the crazy part.

Thanks for the house tour. Very modern and chic. But why is the master bedroom so small? The space between the wall and the bed seemed very inconvenient. I would hate it. Can you also see the view from the bed? Your budget seems to be expansive. When you live in luxury, why to cramp yourself in?

If you love the house, I guess that's all that matters, but here's so much that's wrong with it... 1. It's got zero character. It's a soulless "box" that happens to be in Madeira but could very well be in Thailand or Mexico. Sorry, not "could be" but "is", because there are already 97398 million others lost around the world. Lost, because they simply do not belong. 2. The space inside is so poorly designed. It's very fragmented making it feel even smaller than it actually is and it is small! The sunken lounge space would be nice if there was any space for it, instead it just ruins the best part of the house. The TV area is an afterthought and the library (where's there's barely space for a chair, lol) is beyond an afterthought. Oh, and the master bedroom where two people will struggle to simply move around the bed. I could add a couple other fundamental issues, but there's no need to. Like I've said, if you like it, that's (almost) all that matters. You actually did a nice job with the interior design. 👍

We do get storms here yes :) actually when we moved in we had a huge storm. It is two videos back if you wanna see. But we will definitely get the change to film a lot of different weather in this place. That’s for sure. By know the house would be around 3.5. So it has been an incredible investment:)
