Little over 3 years ago, I was sitting at a bar at 23 years old, depressed because i got suspended from university due to my drinking habits while on my fourth pint of Blue Moon. I watched this video, listened to Jon talking about his "best times" being sober and that very new years eve i pledged to never drink alcohol again, only to fall back into the spiral of excessive drinking on my 24th birthday of that year. Just 3-4 months after I made the pledge. My life was hell for the next two years all because I was doing things the real me shouldn't do including drinking, smoking, aimless etc. I am now 7 months permanently free from alcohol's clutches. I advise anybody to do the same.

1:14 I just feel like every guest on Joe Rogans podcast is made to feel super comfortable. I've heard so many guests say stuff like this and seen so many guests open up about really interesting things that they would otherwise not speak about on a different platform like an interview or press conference.

Are you guys seriously only hooked on the "party" line. Did you not just hear him say "I study everyone extensively and then i come up w their patterns, the way they FLINCH... " how much time, dedication, passion and obsession it takes to do that. Who cares about fighting, take that to heart about whatever it is your pursing.

Definitely liked Jon more before listening to this podcast. His apathy is overwhelming. The fact fans cheer him and boo Cormier shows how fucking stupid we are in America.

I don't think your getting it. He's saying that he wanted to have an excuse for if he ever lost. He could save himself from the feeling of a loss by saying that his opponent isn't better than him. He just wasn't fighting at his best.
