Joey that very same feeling of loss, (for me personally) will be profound and a very large part of my soul will die as well. Yes, it sounds nuts but it is true I believe. Joe is angry at the collapse of the industry , he is bitter and so am I. I actually dread that news, it will be like an uppercut knocking the air out of me. Joe is THE reason that I began playing in 1979. There is a story behind it but I won`t waste your time with it. Shit man, the very thought can choke me up.

I asked the kids …… we drove to the location in 100+ heat, no AirConditioning in the old P.O.S. car, and I was the only one who could roll. No parking place and the jerk who owned the car was particularly sensitive about where he parked…..I suffered through the first set and promised myself that iffn the second unknown group didn’t convince me after the second song I was history. Joe comes out and plays the intro to Rocky Mountain Way. I was in love at the third note! What a guitar player, and he writes and sings too!

it figures though doesn't it??..they weren't even born yet and they abhor anything that doesn't resonate with little else other than the narrative of 'they're OLD, stuck in the past and 'WE' are the future'. Boomers can still relate to the big band era and early rock and roll of the 50's as they look back to the awesome sounds that paved the way for 'the new wave' of music.. But as far as I can see we're contending with a generation of those that could GAS about anything that transpired before they were born. IMO we are now inundated 'up to our ears' lol.. with trash music that grows more degenerate every day!! Good luck to these short sighted musical enthusiasts of today when AI sends them into the back seat of the bus!!

Boy does Joe Vitale absolutely nail that heavy and hard beat this song is very physically demanding on a drummer and Joe makes it look easy he is one hell of a drummer. And by the way loved your book Joe Vitale thank you

Brian May of Queen called him "A guitar hero for all us guitar heroes". (Sevilla, '92). People who know, KNOW!! -and praise doesn't come any higher than that.

@@joewalsh275 sure Joe I'd be honored sir. Is thus version available on Amazon music. Whenever Rocky Mountain Way comes up volume automatically goes to 11. Some of my favorite content from you music aside which is some of the all time best. But back in the olden days of Chicago radio lol. Is when you'd show up on Steve and Garry's radio show I'd laugh until I'd cry. Are you going to be running for President anytime soon? I'm freaking out lol. Thank you Joe have a great day.
