She started to like one of those guys and he liked her too, they were starting something but the guy was too jealous of how close she was with other people and that she didn't have shame, like once she found a guy that was selling dildos and gave her one and she was all excited about it or that she once sat on the legs of one of their friends even when she has always been like that in front of this guy (so he knew how she was and that she's just like that which doesn't mean she's actually having feelings or doing anything with their other friends while she's with him), bc of this they once fight really hard and broke up, they were going to a party later so they all went into a taxi anyway after it. Since the guy was still angry at her and she felt super offended about how he treated her like a slut, she started to act like herself at the maximum to just enjoy her night and be herself, she was doing drugs with her friends (and so did the guy), she was playing with the dildo in her hand, they were singing super high and posting instagram stories, things like those. In the middle of that, she tries to kiss the guy but he mistreates her again so, bc of the drugs and how frustated she was, she started to kiss with her other two friends. It was supposed to be a fun silly game but the other guys started to do more, they literally forced her to open her legs and started to touch her, she asked them to stop many times but they didn't and the main guy was literally sitting on their side and literally did nothing during the whole time they were raping her. All this happened in the taxi, the driver was tired of them bc they were singing and screaming like crazy for a really long time so even when he noticed what happened to her he did nothing neither. By the end of everything they got to the party and she talked to her female friend about this (like, she implied what happened but didn't say it) while she was crying and destroyed but the girl told her they were probably just playing and being silly (we know she didn't told her she was raped but we don't know what exactly she told her about it bc that happened out of screen, the scene starts after she tells her about that), bc of that she stays quiet and tries to convince herself it wasn't so serious. After that she ended up bleeding, with her thighs full of bruises and with several strands of hair torn out. Next day in school her "friends" acted as always and as if nothing happened (they heard her asking them to stop but all the time they were acting like if she wanted it saying nasty things like "look at how wet you are" while smiling and keep going with it), bc of that she feels like she's going crazy bc they act so normal that it even makes her believe it maybe didn't happen bc it makes no sense bc of how they're acting and how everything is but she knows it did happen, bc of that she starts to have panic attacks and in one of those she tells her mom she was raped, her mom asked her who did it and when she told her it was her "best friends" her mom was so shocked (since she has known them for years) that she even told her "are you sure?" which was hard as fuck. With her parents knowing they took her to the hospital and to the police, everyone ended up knowing about this, everyone ended up believing she was lying and tried her like she has always been a whore bc of her personality before, the police said that there was no way to prove that happened since they couldn't find the driver, the guys denied everything and the stories they posted having fun and kissing just before makes it harder to believe after that she didn't want more. Her "best friend", the other girl from the group who was friends with everyone and is also the sister of the first guy I talked about, automatically thought she was a liar and told her she didn't know her anymore bc she never thought she would be capable of saying such lies, they didn't talk anymore after that, all the guys completely deny it, are mad at her and say it was all consensual. She has to go to a different school and stops doing activities she likes or going out in general, she also gets to blame herself bc of her previous way to be. People at school isn't just bothering her but also her little sister who is like 11 or something, telling her nasty comments relating her to her older sister bc of how she "lied" when "she's actually a whore". Once she even decides that to turn the page she needs to hear them saying sorry so she gives them the chance, even so when they get there and she asks for it, they act as if she was crazy and said something like that they didn't need to apoligize but that she was the one who needed to do it, to tell them sorry for lying and "ruining" their lives with those rumors (even when no one believed her and the police couldn't do anything to them), even so then the first guy (the one that just watched) broke and told them all he couldn't keep doing that, the other guys try to stop him and the girl just realises she was actually saying the truth. In the end of the season this guy is about to go to the police to tell them he saw the other guys raping her, even so the show got cancelled so we never saw more. That's sad but at the very least we saw her going to a new school, having help from her family, going out a little more, finding another girl who went through a rape too and helped her by believing her and talking about their experiences and helping each other, she went back to dance classes to enjoy a little more and to have some fun again being herself, we know at least the other girl knows she was saying the truth and what the guys are and that they will be reported with the police which would obviously lead to them ending up in jail in other seasons, so it's not all so bad.

@@jrlombardi5251 I just want to start off by saying, bless your fingers for taking the time to write this. I really appreciate it and I did read it all. The storyline is very interesting, and I think it is really sad she was raped and for the longest time nobody believed her. Though a girl can never “want it” or “ask for it” if she’s saying to stop and yelling. Those friends are absolutely terrible and I am glad that the guy reported it. I know the girl and the guy won’t ever have the same friendship but maybe they would start talking a bit. Maybe she would tell him about what she went through over the time after it all.

I was already obcessed with this song, imagine this character! The scenes are perfectlly lined up with the lyrics. It's sad that show wasn't renewed. Recentelly I've talked to this person who said the show was the biggest sh#t ever saw and that Joey deserved it. The amount of people sharing that opinion scares me. The episode that stayed with me was the fourth, were you see the aftermath of the abuse. I loved that they showed Joey's mum supporting her. I wish every mum was like that.
