You struck a very nice balance between the obvious cynical joke about how much Joey sucks and the overly saccharine opposite that would entail making him and his Rattata invincible just because we all like rooting for the underdog, so you ended up with something that manages to be both funny and legitimately heart-warming. The concept that it's okay to suck at something and you can still have a perfectly fulfilling life is something that really doesn't get explored as much as it deserves (Mob Psycho 100 being the only example that comes to mind), so props for that, too!

Or rather, it's the same theme from a different perspective. Saitama worked so hard that his hair fell out to become the strongest, now he's by far the strongest but it doesn't bring him any satisfaction. Mob is already born as someone extraordinary, but he'd rather feel like he belongs and become a fully rounded person instead of being consumed by that one thing that happens to make him stand out. There's a lot to be learned from this theme. Like, I think the richest people in the world aren't actually _happy._ There are plenty of people who are immeasurably happier even though they don't have much, but what they do have is fulfilling relationships and a life that feels safe and peaceful or meaningful rather than a life that's all about striving for more and more of the same, no matter the cost. (What's interesting about the author is that he's a manga author who sucks at drawing. These stories make a lot of sense coming from someone who's no good at, like, a sort of objective measure of his skill in his chosen craft. He's by far not the best manga _artist,_ but he clearly still manages to tell emotionally resonant stories thanks to his wisdom - the measure of his experiences and self-reflection as a person.)

It is just beautiful that after so many years he still have his ratata, a ratata who was for him even more important that suicide, I've tears flowing down my cheeks when I see the friendship between him and ratata. He might not be the most powerful trainer but certainly one of the kindest and most loyal trainer that we'll ever see. #Joeybestamongthebest

I like to think pokedollars are sooo cheap and being a pokemon master is not expensive, so the bike is not expensive itself, is only that you have so little money that you can't actually buy real staff. Pokeballs and potions are cheap because they want people to be able to become a pokemon trainer even if they don't have any money, that's why people give you thousands of money, because is not THAT much, just a little payment for your win.

alexptm29 Well there are many other ways for red to make real money. Being a Pokémon champion (assuming you’re not paid a good amount (Which alone is kinda silly since these guys are treated like royalty)) it’d be easy for Red to get a scholarship or even start a business with his influence. He could also sell off some of his valuable Pokémon (and seeing as some Pokémon are VERY useful in the Pokémon world’s workforce). Heck he could even sell Mewtwo or any other legendary or rare Pokémon to a research company to make some big bucks. And lastly, meowth’s payday. Nuff said.

As an animator myself, i can say this is very high level and quality animation. I can tell you didnt go all out and went a simplistic route, but in a style that looks so good and lively. By the look of the backgrounds and certain scenes i can tell you are way better than some would assume from watching this, unless they know. Good shiz

Honestly, this could be a really good anime. (Better than Ash adventure #26.) It would be interesting to see a story like this unfold. (Plus Rattata is adorable and he would be a good little mascot/comedy relief.) Chances of this happening are... 0.001%, but at least this animation shows what could have been. Great job everyone who worked on this!
