Youre right about life that one has to be ready and whatnot. i always enjoy your podcast because of your real humble poetic way to make a point about life and the moral to it. Cant take life for granted and forget about the important things in life and the importance of giving a flying fuck.

Tom Rhodes, Keep your head up. Remember that sunset after the diving incident the next time you beat yourself up over the divorce. Sure we could have done this, said that, and maybe things would be different. Instead of dwelling on what you could have done stay focused on what you are doing now and what you will do next. I love your work. It becomes even better knowing how much that you love your work.

I cannot fathom, why Joey Diaz had to interrupt Tom Rhodes, every time he was gearing up towards telling a good story. He's interjecting these pre-crafted and well structured Rhodesian stories with his tiresome, generalizing and generic "wisdom" nuggets. At the end, Tom could have had plenty of room, to tell the last story about him in his apartment being miserable post-breakup, but Joey in his lazy and thoughtless weed haze just coldly interrupts it: "we gotta wrap up... I'm doing comedy shows in * bla bla bla... *". And I like Joey Diaz. This was just disappointing. Tom Rhodes is really just the best. His empathy and sensitivity truly shines - and is a perfect toolkit for an engaging observatory comedic mind laden with tinges of humanistic beauty.

I only listened to the audio of this podcast and when Tom told that diving story it literally felt like he was reading a script. Gotta be more loose my man. I know getting tips from an anonymous internet guy but it wasn't good.
