This is a diss track. Suga in one of the producers he likes to experiment with new sounds a lot . Lyrics by the 3 BTS rappers as usual . I'll be honest, I had a feeling you might not know the instruments, but this time I asked for it too just cause I wanted to see you get blown away by ddaeng. You couldn't miss out on this song . This is so funny. Jpearl and Suga produced Ddaeng. The lyrics are amazing, you won't understand it until you watch an explaination video tbh. Translators had to invastigate and talk with each other bc of the world play they used on this one jajaja i love them

As for the use of Asian instruments in this song, it was meant to be a rebuttal to the haters who claimed BTS had become too westernized. They even performed the song in traditional Korean clothing. One of their new songs, Idol, even has elements of Korean culture in the lyrics and the music video to once again tell off the haters who say they've become westernized and lost sight of their roots.

I don't know much about production but i've seen interest in the production of Singularity, the Trivias (Just Dance, Seesaw, Love), First Love... Idk I think you could talk about almost all their songs, specially from albums of the last three years (Wings, Love Yourself series)

You know I feel like your super pressured because we recognize you as a producer who knows things but we understand that it’s impossible to know everything. This is especially a new area, western producers don’t typically use eastern instruments or know it. I like how your interested! The lyrics to this song are something else. You don't have to react to it but I suggest watching 'DDAENG Explained by a Korean' (channel: DKDKTV) in order to understand what they're saying. Just letting you know, but DDaeng is used in seven different ways throughout the song, they're lyrical geniuses. Thanks for reacting to this! By the way, in case you're wondering about who worked on the song: Produced by SUGA, J.Pearl, RM, J-hope Keyboard - J.Pearl Synthesizer - J.Pearl Additional Production - Supreme Boi Recording Engineers - SUGA, RM, J-hope Mix Engineer - Yang Ga Mastering Engineer - Yang Ga J. Pearl was in a different kpop group (now disbanded) but continues to produce, Supreme Boi is a producer who's well known to work on several bts tracks, I'm not sure on Yang Ga but I'm sure he's one of the many producers under BigHit :)

What you are hearing in Ddaeng are Korean traditional instruments that you might not be familiar with! Suga one of the rappers, lyricist and producers from BTS always wanted to create a song using Korean traditional instruments which he succeeded in doing with this song. Suga and JPearl produced this song. 👍😵😎😍❤️💜❤️

Lol. I don't think people were expecting you to NAME the instruments. It's just you're a hip-hop producer and this is one of their most recent, most popular rap songs. And the mix of genres, the modern beats with the traditional korean music, IS interesting. And hearing your thoughts on it were really interesting. The flailing was just an entertainment bonus.

A half self written/produced hip hop song using traditional Korean instruments! It’s just beautiful that they got millions of people to perhaps learn a bit more of their culture! Anyway! Just a side note: "Joke" is heavily sampled (Run The Jewels "Oh My Darling") so you might prefer to analyze the rapping more than production, bc RM changes flows like a dozen times. I personally prefer his song than the original.

*HERES ALL OF THE INSTRUMENT THEY USED* correct me if im wrong. 1:58: It is Erhu 2:22: The string instrument in the left sound is a Pipa and i think its the same in the right 2:48: That instrument is called Bandura 2:57: Again the string in the background is Pipa 3:14 and 3:58: It is Chinese Percussion 4:54: The string in the background is Pipa 5:56: Its the same instrument its Erhu

If they only used Korean traditional instruments, it will be wrong..... Bc Erhu,Bandura is not a Korean traditional instruments. I think Pipa or Ga ya geum Erhu ☞ Hae geum (differ slightly) Bandura ☞ ..?? ...Gayageum or pipa....?? (; ^ ; ) And Flute ☞ Danso or So geum(high pitch), Dae geum(low pitch)

I thought youd enjoy this because its way out there compared to what youd hear on the western radios (i live in europe my self ) and i love how they mix traditional instruments and style with rap. So didnt recommend to school but rather for you to hear something interesting and different that could be fun for you :) really like your reacts keep it up i learn alot from you!

suga is the producer of bts, and the songs can be composed both by the members, since the bts there is a lot of creative freedom. definitely suga is the best producer of korea

I really like how you react to them and I think 90% of their songs are literally made by BTS or the guys you are reacting with because the three rappers in DDAENG are producers or composers so basically they composed it and just seek help to their company but they don't just tell any people to make their music because they make their own music even Jin ( one of the members ) contributed to make music and yeah...no fake coming from their mouth :) 💜

This song is full of asian elements..it is quite natural not to know..well being in asia i dont know what they used..yes thats a hard hitting truth.. The rappers actually are the one's who gets to decide in mixing their parts. In their bangtan bomb ddaeng unit stage behind the scene, it showed a clip of them mixing the song in their studio with their mix engineer
