Johann Peiris, the man who concurred the Himalayan Everest. First of all, thank you Kalum bringing this great personality to social media, he's a hero in Sri Lanka & one of the few who has climbed this gigantic mountain, not an easy task needs lots of planning, building up stamina, funds & importantly the courage to take such decision as it's a do-or-die battle until you come back home. I did not know it was his second attempt, however, to prepare for the second attempt would be more difficult in finding sponsors, etc. A long list of preparation itself is not an easy task I believe. Johann being a successful international businessman is another achievement, definitely, great inspiration from this young man and I wish him all the success in his future plans. I would have liked it if you had got him to talk more about concurring the Everest & other four highest mountains in Australia, Tanzania, Europe & South America.

Just to be very clear that they did not summit Mount Aconcagua. This is the update from their FB page - "Jayanthi and Johann sent a brief message to family and friends to say they had to make the difficult decision to turn back 500m from the summit. If they had continued, they risked frostbite from the extreme cold, particularly as they were attempting to summit via the technical and more challenging route across the Polish Glacier. They are on the way back down and will share more details in the next few days."
