Look carefully at the orchestra and listen to the orchestral exposition in the first movement. To avoid spoiling the concerting character of the work, there are no oboes in the orchestra. But, this being told, we can hear that it allows a compréhensive uses of wind instruments, mainly horns and clarinets. .All in all,, this concertino is very nice. There are both influences from Weber and of the best Italian music. Thx for posting

In my playing years from 1950 to 2003 i can say there was not many topp oboesoloist. We had Goosens and Holliger and 2-3 more on topp. To day there are only in KZfaq about 10 on topp and may be many more…
