John 5 is a rocker, but he will tell you his roots and influences go back to when he was young, and from watching Hee Haw. He is one hell of a country picker as well. He can play any style. If you are not strictly a metal head, check out his chicken picken clips as well. So versatile!!!

Love seeing John smile. Saw him the first time back in '94 with Red Square Black. Phenomenal. Saw him years later with Manson and he looks much happier now! So Awesome.

I think John5 is trying to bring a new wind as a member of Mötley Crüe while still having respect and love for Mick. His playing is excellent and I would like to respect John5 as a new member of Mötley Crüe. And I was very happy to hear him play in Japan!😊😊😊

Considering the more percussive riffs he has to play for Zombie and Manson (which still make some awesome tunes) I think it's cool for him to let loose and show people who might not know... that he's one of the greatest guitarists on the globe. A true master of his craft. And from what I hear he's the most humble people in music

John 5 is so great. I thought the era of the new guitar hero was over but apparently not. That white head-stock and finger-board is very cool, too. I think Motley were pretty lucky to get this guy. He was a star in his own right, without them.

I agree, and will add, that I can't do it with present day Vince Neil. They should have stayed retired, because in my opinion, they're destroying their legacy, continuing to play as Motley Crue. Micks sound, tone and style is what made MC what they were.

I remember seeing John 5 in a guitar magazine for the 1st time in the early 90s. Noticed his tattoo sleeves... and immediately thought of Motley Crue.... And here he is, after 30+ years, playing in Motley Crue.

I hate solos at a show... absolutely HATE them. But John 5 IS a show. I saw him at a Zombie/Manson show a few years ago. The guy is amazing. I could watch him all day long

You should catch him as a “solo” act. I’ve seen him twice and got a pick both times and even him taking my phone to record while he was playing. I saw him before the show and got a photo and we both got covid from the Sacramento show. 😂

I was sad when he wasn’t with Zombie at Aftershock. I was heartbroken but also happy to see the OG Zombie guitarist. I’ve seen him play with Manson, zombie and solo. Just need to catch him with MC.
