I am not sure which one you have quoted but here is another one from the 'septuagent;Brenton Septuagint Translation And God spoke to Moses, saying, I am THE BEING; and he said, Thus shall ye say to the children of Israel, THE BEING has sent me to you. If you really believe that Jesus Christ was trying to tell people he was God himself, then why when actually accused of being God did he correct the Jews by saying "I am the Son of God"? ( John 10:33-36). Plus reading the entire chapter of John 8, there are a number of staements which contradict your notion; verse 16 "The Father sent me". Verse 18 "The Father that sent me". Verse 26 "He that sent me is true.And I speak to the world those things which I have heard from Him". Verse 28 "I am he, and that I do nothing of myself, but as my father hath taught meI speak these things" ( note in this verse Jesus uses almost the same phrase as in verse 58!) then verse 38, 40, 42, 49, 54, All clearly demonstrating that Jesus was NOT the Father himself or even equal to him but His obedient Son. Thus the CONTEXT proves beyond doubt that to quote verse 58 & claim Jesus was applying Exd 3:14 to HIMSELF is utterly false!

@@stephensmith7597 Understanding Hebrew is needed to discern the meaning of ('ehye 'ăšer 'ehye) Even google says that it can also mean 'I will be what I will be'. In fact it is tenseless! neither past, present' or future'. The context is also important. Moses knew that |God was Almighty by the way he dealt with Abreham ( Exd 6:3) But now Moses needed to know that the Creator could meet any situation! |Even freeing His people from Egypt! In other words "I can be whatever I want to be! ". Just to say "I am what I am" Is like saying I exist! God wanted Moses to realise MORE than just 'God existed' He needed to have faith in God's delivering power! Something never before experienced by anyone!. So Exd 3:14 should not read 'I am that I am'. Jesus was just telling the Jews that he had lived BEFORE Abreham ( who was under discussion). He was NOT claiming to be God Himself! He always said 2I am the Son of God"! ( John 10:33-36).

I do accept John 1:1, which is only one verse of the entire gospel whose ending is summed up with the words "These thngs have been written that you may believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, and that by believingyou may have everlasting life" John 20:31. I also believe in Heb 1 as well as the entire epistle! Heb 1:2 "But in this final age he has spoke to us in his son wom He appointed heir of all things". Paul skillfully shows that the 'high priest' of Israel did not appoint himself but was such by God. That Christ as our HP pleads & interceeds on our behalf in heaven because God heard his prayers & pleadings and raised him from the death for his obedience e.t.c Heb 5:5-10. Having been a choirboy as a child in the COE and had family members who were staunch COE I have studied the history of 'christendom' for over 50 years and come to the conclusion that I can be a Christian without subsribing to a particular church or group. This would restrict me to follow the set of doctrines of that church! I am totally independant and stick just to what the BIBLE teaches! It does NOT teach or mention the trinity once! both the word and the fomula 'There are three persons in one God' are NOT in any bible verse!

@@stephensmith7597 As for 'Alpha & omega' If youread the entire book of revelation ther are FOUR people talking. God, Jesus, thr angle, John. It can be confusing understanding who is talking when!
