I just have this feeling that they are supposed to do better as the mixed couples? Because their 2 males?? Because they make it more spectacular?? This was a 9 minimum not a 8! Why does other couples gets tens and nines... when even the professional dancer makes some little mistakes in the footwork.... My honest opinion.

This is a very unique sort of Viennese Waltz. I like the Broadway-esque style. I must admit while I do see a few issues with it, I did find this charming and so fun. It was very clever and just down right adorable. Go John and Johannes!

John has been good throughout and that to me is becoming a problem. He needs to elevate his performance, he needs to WOW us and since Pirates of the Caribbean its been ....nice.

So at any point will they actually do a romantic, intimate number, or will this pairing be doomed to some Frankenstein, hybrid Broadway, clubbing, weird dance far away from each other choreography week after week....

He is improving so much with his ballroom , but how did Shirley score Dan’s Charleston higher than this 🤦‍♀️

I love that John and Johanas have big moments of traditional dance steps and then put in a little detail like shaking hands. They cover everything.

I swear, these two are always in the middle of cleaning/working when they just get suddenly distracted and start dancing. You're never gonna get the jobs done at this rate! 😜

I dance for some time now and I'm very surprised. There are not that many possibilities to make a viennese Walz unique. But this one was. It was technically not perfect but it was unique and fun! 😊

Boys! As classy and as whimsical as Bert himself! Wow! What a really unique Viennese Waltz. I'm happy. Their unique style of dancing is back!! So lovely and synchronised. So theatrical. Enjoyable.

What a great routine. John is looking really comfortable in the leader role, he has a nice posture and frame and looks very clean. When he goes into the follower role, he looks like he is trying to look behind his left shoulder, instead of using his upper back to achieve the shaping. I've said before that he appears stiff in the spine and I don't think that he is getting any more flexible. Great body contact, correct footwork in the Fleckerl, good drive over the floor when in hold, I enjoyed this very much.John and Johaness for the final!
