Farm Aid

Күн бұрын

John Anderson performs "Black Sheep" live at the Farm Aid concert in Austin, Texas on July 4, 1986. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.
For more information about Farm Aid, visit: farmaid.org/you...
Farm Aid's performances are donated by the artists in order to raise funds and raise awareness for family farmers. They've raised their voices to help - what can you do?

Not only is the song's lyrics total a hit but John's voice control is really vividly displayed in this video!

I'll tell ya what, this rhythm section is a high- ball travelin' train! That bass player is locomotive like in those runs and the drummer is focused and in the pocket. I love this performance, thanks for sharing.

I've been out to see many big name singers. Most of them were every bit as good as I expected, lots of talent. Hard to find one better than John Anderson. He hasn't lost much with age either. At the time I saw him he was about 60 years old, and the voice was still there. He's a very unique and talented singer.

I have always loved the fact that his voice is *HIS* you know? I mean, you just immediately know that's it him singing. Now everyone sounds so much alike, you don't even know who the half of them are anymore.

Something about John Anderson and his band that transcends musical genres. Most underrated musician of the late 80's/early 90's. Just outstanding.

John Has the kind of Country voice that we all wished that we had. Keith Whitley was one them too. That and of course Good Ol George Jones. Then there was Who was he? Ah yes! Vern GosdinThe guy who sang ''Ste 'Em Up Joe''. ALl great voices. Tell it like it is. I can listen to them all night and I'm a Yankee.
