This virtual Mill Tour explains how each specific machine works and will give you an insight into how we create yarn and fibre tops.
John Arbon Textiles: www.jarbon.com
We are an independent business making yarns and fibre tops in our small scale, worsted spinning mill in North Devon (one of only a handful still operating in the UK). We source most of our fibre locally, championing British wool at every opportunity.
Using predominantly vintage machinery that we have lovingly restored we create wonderful artisan goods using a hands-on approach to production. All our yarn and tops ranges are designed, blended and spun by the folk at our mill, inspired by the natural world around us or our interests in art, music and nostalgia.

I love when you all do these :) It's like watching "How It's Made" shows :) An in person tour would be awesome.

MAGIC!!! I think the sound of Gillian would be an excellent soporific; you could market! I’m amazed that John hasn’t composed a symphony of machine sounds! (Or has he?) I have a lot more respect for my JAT yarn now I’ve seen what it goes through! Thank you❤

Thank you for showing the process for yarn making. How many skeins can you produce in a day? What you call a skein is called a hank here in USA.
