Yes, he died in an accident at an young age. A great singer, we 70+ people enjoy such music.Yet another singer who did not get his due recognition was Srivanjiyam Mani Iyer, a highly talented singer.

Sogasuga Mrudanga is a very apprehensive question to the Lord/rama by the Saint Composer Thyagaraja on his own competence and propriety for rightly praying him through songs with sublime devotion, and woven around the nine moods of men - the Navarasas - appropriately?! here John B Higgins presented a vibrant rendition with good tone and diction!!! I loved the Charanam so beautifully presented. His sworakalpana is also outstanding . the percussion team gave excellent support for the recital....appreciable! Pranams to the great soul of John B Higgins!
