This is less surprising than it might sound. When I was a freshman in high school, my dad hid in the shed to jump out and scare me when I was coming home. But the bus was 30 minutes late, and he got in 10 minutes early just in case the bus happened to be a little bit early. Worst part? I saw him through the window, so he didn't even get a chance to scare me.

He was born in Scotland, but was moved to America when he was 9 where he learned to change his accent to avoid being made fun of. The manor in which he talks is descried as a "mid-atlantic" accent, he also maintains a duel citizenship in both the U.S and the U.K. I hope I've helped :)
