Lust is such a strong over powering sin God help us all

I’m gonna have to watch this many times, as I felt there were points I’ll consistently need to be reminded of. I’ve worn this ball and chain since I was twelve, and I’m 37 now. I’m sick of it. God gave me a beautiful little daughter who’s now 10 months old, and I think that will be one of His greatest tools in my deliverance. It has already begun to change how I see young women, but the roots of this addiction are so deep in me...and I work in a hospital constantly surrounded by attractive young women in form-fitting scrubs. I need to learn to see these women as someone’s beloved daughter...and as God’s beloved creation. Until that happens...with His grace and power...I’ll never pry this parasite from my heart. Please pray for me...if there are any prayer warriors out there reading this. God is good...but I am not.

You can be FREE, I was addicted too for 17 years...horrible! I hate it, if you are FREE please ask the young mans & singles (womans too) about it, because if no one ask is very hard to confess it! if you are struggling CONFESS to your Pastor or leader, then a healing process will begin. I was addicted for it for around 7 years. God lead me to a 3 day fast and also a changing in the way of my thinking about myself and women to be free from it. God gave me the strength to get out of it. Thank God for the changes of the desires of my heart. Although being single doesn't help much, I do not want to look at it.

The biggest difference is being delivered from the depression that i was a hopeless case. It perpetrated the problem and i believe that's what gave the demonic spirits the right to torment me the way it was happening. God has so much grace and teaches us a great deal on many levels.

God, I know I have hurt your heart with the desires of the flesh. I know I am a sinner. With all my heart I seek a deeper relationship with you, to know you more intimately. I have relied on my own power to get rid of this terrible addiction, sickness that is in me. Only through knowing you more and relying on your grace will you set me free. Oh God! I cry out to you now! Please Oh God, in the name of your son Jesus I ask these things of you. Through your grace and your love and your forgiveness may you deliver me so that I no longer hurt the heart of the one I love the most. Amen.

This was such a blessing and the best video I've come across that speaks about thesis addiction and how to get free. Many other videos I've watched simply outlines scripture of why you shouldn't, and how you basically will go to hell. Johns revelation is from a place of living in light of eternity. "You have to love Truth". Not just know truth but LOVE it.

Keep me in prayer, I want my desires to change! I also am having demonic sexual dreams and a tormenting spirit attacking me at night due to my addictions. The power of the enemy has a strong hold on me and I'm seeking the grace of God for deliverance. I really need help and want to let others know they are not alone in this warfare. This gave me a whole new perspective. Thank you so much for this testimony, I'd never thought to think that I was offending God's heart. I was selfishly considering my consequences but it is so much more transforming to consider that my sin is hurting God and I hope that this can help me on the path to truly being reborn and pray that whoever needs to see this video will find it.

Wow-- So good! Thank you, this is a beautiful explanation for any of us, with nearly anything that hurts a Holy God! I once was wrapped up into all that sin too... I've been delivered, but always am scared of falling back into it. It's been two years strong, with no trips! This is so insightful and scripture based!

One helpful thing to think about is that formulas don't deliver us. We need to fall before the Lord in our weakness and live only in His love, strength, and righteousness. If we don't start with a relationship with God (with a childlike heart) we will continue in human willpower and fail. Also, dishonesty is an element that will set us up for failure. We cannot just offer lip service to God, others, and ourselves. Many say they want freedom, but the truth is, they still want their sin. I've experienced this. I have been dishonest about my sin. But, when I came to the foot of the cross as a "liar who loved his sin", it was a genuine repentance, and it led to a powerful experience of forgiveness and cleansing. Don't lie to yourself. Admit to God if you are lying about wanting freedom when you really only want your perverted pleasures to be fulfilled. Fall on your face before him admitting everything! He will free us!

at 13:20 It reminds me of revelation 2:21 "I gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her immorality." This verse convicts me. I didn't want to leave my sin yet God was patient.

I'm so unbelievably desensitized to porn and its affect on my relationship with God. In fact I've had think of women as someone God cares about, in order for me, to than lust after Gods daughter. I really have stooped super low, and I don't want to hurt God after everything hes done for me. Oh God help me start doing what's right. According to your Word. I desire, to begin changing my heart I I dont have the strength to even know where to begin, but I'm willing. I want to be fully in pursuit of You God. Do what You Will.

I had a very similar experience years ago just before I got baptized, I was a Christian but I was also addicted to porn. GOD completely took porn and the desire to look at it out of my life. I could never look at it now and hurt the one I love.

THIS WORD IS FOR MY SOUL !!

One of my testimonies I began indulging in internet pornography and self-gratification at the age of about 14. This began an ever increasing addiction to sexual sin that would last about 7 years. I tried so many times to defeat this sin on my own but could never make it. I knew full well that sexual sin is spiritual poison and i would under no circumstances inherit the kingdom of god if I were to die in this condition also being that we are living in the last days and the Lord well be returning soon. So as time went on the conviction and guilt continued to build up inside of me but i just couldn't break free. It was like i was chained to it and did not posses the key to break these powerful bonds as i had been trying to under my own strength and abilities. Until one night after trying to again overcome on my own and failing i finally came to the realization that i would not be able to defeat these sins on my own. I fell to my knees practically in tears and basically asked god for truly the first time for help in overcoming my demonic strongholds. I seriously then when downstairs got back on the internet and within i'd say less that 10 min had found Setting Captives Free Ministry and was in the process of signing up for The Way of Purity course. As soon as I started the first lesson I nearly broke out in tears because I knew Jesus had answered my prayer and I was bound to soon be free. This course opened my eyes to many truths that I had been previously missing. Such as being motivated by the glory of god as a primary goal when seeking freedom. As well as radical amputation, accountability, true repentance and confession all of which i had been lacking. Initially i did struggle had to take the course over a second time. It was about halfway through this second time that i noticed big changes. Such as the urge to gratify my flesh and the burning desire to view porn begin to diminish to the point where now i can go multiple days without even being aroused at all and hardly ever have to do battle with fantasizing about porn all the time like i used to. God was delivering me from the evil spirits that had for so long been inside and controlling my thoughts and actions. This was the work of god there is no way i began overcoming these sins on my own it was him ministering his word to me though these lessons and my obedience to them that lead to breakthrough. That was the major turning point and since then i am free from these sins that had for so long held me captive. So this captive is free. I now feel like i will be able to help others who are in bondage to these sins and have already found the Lord placing people in my path with the same struggles that I once had to help them find freedom in Christ as well so i'm looking forward to that. I feel as if there is even more i could do to serve god maybe become a mentor for this ministry or even start my own we will see. I firstly want to thank The Lord Jesus whom i love and for my mentor Bill as well as all the other people involved with this ministry. Gods hands are truly all over it. Thanks

I have fallen in this trap so many times - yet I keep turning to GOD to give me the strength - HIS EMPOWERING STRENGTH to overcome this addiction.I pray for HIS MERCY AND FORGIVENESS. Wonderful testimony! How refreshing to hear a man of God in full-time ministry confess his struggles in this area (and not after he got caught btw). I very much like him emphasizing the grace of God being the enabling power to live the Christian life. I will read his book, Extraordinary because of this video. The only thing he said that I have reservations about is when he said God won't deliver you as long as you still like it. Well, I will always have flesh that will like it till I die or Jesus comes back first. I think the key is Romans 8 where we surrender our minds to the Spirit and not be focused on the flesh.

But the GREATEST blessing is our LORD & SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST is there to forgive us for our sins and too move forward each and every second , one step at at time. Guys the only way to break free from this is spending time in GOD, in his presence, resting in his presence and waiting on him. Worshipping through music. Guys EVERY DAY I do this my temptation to porn goes sour and dims, or I am not tempted that day. But whenever I don't spend time with GOD I fall EVERY SINGLE TIME every single time no matter how much I try it is every single time. Guys GOD and his grace really exist! And these are just one of the sins that dims or don't tempts at all

Blessings everyone. Before I came to *Christ* I used to watch porn and masturbate. The *Holy Spirit* has completely set me free from those *SINS,* but I definitely had to do my part. You see, some victories are *NOT* going to land in our lap. You can be prayed for over and over, but if you don’t put in some work, porn and masturbation will be your master. Remember *Jesus Christ* is your master. Here’s what I mean when I said that you got to put in some work. As born again Christians, we must have a life a prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17), we must read our bible daily and apply what we read and hear in sermons (Joshua 1:8, James 1:22-27), we must occupy ourselves in the things of *God* or else we are going to be without fruits (2 Peter 1:5-11, Philippians 4:8, Ephesians 5:1-21). I know it’s not easy, but seek the *Holy Spirit* and *He* will give you the strength that you need to walk in victory (Acts 1:8, Ephesians 5:18, 2 Timothy 1:7). There’s simply too much to say, I just put in some basic things that every born again Christian should be doing. *God* bless everyone!

John Bevere just preached the same message I taught last week on Grace being not only unmerited favor toward's us in getting saved...but an empowerment to overcome all sin and walk in God's divine nature (2 Peter 1:3,4).
