Minorities stopped supporting congress especially in north india and went on to support regional parties like Samajwadi . To counter this Congress had to go on a minority appeasement platform . Seeing the appeasement politics of Congress , majority communities who have moderate views and supported congress left them and started supporting BJP. Basically minorities did harm themselves.

Have not seen the video- However, no time for such opportunist careerists. He thrives on the lack of communication skills of Pinarayi and grabs plum positions beggaring seasoned and committed comrades. His words might be just hollow and I am sure he will waver at a glance of Modi and company.

See that is exactly what he is pointing out in the first half of the conversation. Irrespective of how you see the integrity of John Britas, the message he is conveying is what you just said in the end of your comment, ' waver at a glance of Modi & company'. In a democratic parliamentary setup, is it healthy that one just wavers off at a glance of a leader. Modi is focusing of building new practices, systems and is not caring for the existing system, that is an excellent observation, his insights on how the parliament functions and the weakness of the opposition is frightening. I think that thought has way more integrity and relevance than the man himself who said that.
