I loved John Cleese when he lent his voice to the character Cadwell in Elder Scrolls Online. He is a mad, yet lovable undead knight who uses cookware as armor. Very Don Quixote-like character. I hope they hire him in upcoming expansions.

What's that device John is holding about 4:00 in the video? I thought I saw one once in school in 1997 but I've never used one.
@Yngvarfo
@Yngvarfo 5 жыл бұрын
It's an arcane device used by the ancient Babylonians, I think. It works by constantly making it shorter. It gets shorter while you write, until it won't work any more. Then, paradoxically, you have to put it in a different device, a shortening-it-even-further device, which makes it work again. Sometimes if you write especially vigorously, it will get much shorter instantly, and you have to shorten it even *more* with the shortening-it-even-further device, which may well lead you to writing with a very short stump between your fingers. Hence, you mustn't *really* want to write too much.

Assuming that it wasn't broadcast to TV or cinema for any reason, I get a feeling that any portable cameras available in the 1950s wouldn't be common place enough in the general public to guarentee anyone was there filming it.

I didn't even recognise this as Swedish at first, it was only until I recognised the mannerisms and the way people look that I deduced this was Swedish television. That's how strange the Swedish language to an unfamiliar English speaker. Anyway, great interview!

You are not sure if he indeed does not understand nor if he does. Yes, logically, some things he misses, but the good thing about comedy, is that you laugh, because other people laugh as well. Positivity has that affect on people and it's nothing to be ashamed of.

LuneyTune72 That's exactly what I thought when I first watched this show. I thought the interviewer is terrible, he seems like he's stuttering when he talks and how the guests look uncomfortable but as I watched more episodes, I actually noticed how engaged he is when talking w his guests. He asks sensible questions unlike the American chat shows full of fake laughs and pointless clapping after every sentence.
