Thank you for downloading this episode. The photos at 0:08 include Alice Kalom (bottom row, last one). The authorities took this photo when they found her, and they published it in the newspapers and on local news, seeking help from the public to identify her. According to Edward Keyes, who wrote Michigan Murders, the photo was taken from an angle so her injuries couldn’t be seen. Alice’s mother was reading the newspaper with her husband, and she saw this photo, and showed it to her husband. They went to the UofM medical center and identified her. RIP Alice Kalom and all of the victims.

How nostalgic it was to see Kelly & Company. This really takes me back to my childhood and also seeing Jackie Kallen who turned out to be the first woman to ever be a boxing promoter and a really good one too.

thanks for the upload. i'm down a John Norman Collins rabbit hole atm. i'm a longtime true crime fan and i've never heard of/or registered this case before. also from Michigan so you would think I would have heard of it at some point. John is the biggest POS, and is a good example of 'the system' actually doing something good. we need more cops investing real crimes like this, instead of harassing citizens for not having insurance, turning right on red, having drugs, basically just being tax men for the state. basically more cops like the ones in the video and less of the ones that shoot you in your own home while your sleeping.

She should have asked him how to explain the fact that murders stopped after his incarceration...🤔

He has requested new DNA testing and been denied - the DNA will show John did not do it..... The real killer passed away in March 1994....

Why Collins still alive ?. I thought child killers don't last long in Prison.

A man named Clyde is the one who touched the mannequin and I know this because I'm his stepdaughter and I know this because my mother married him in 1970 she dated him from 64 until she married him but the only man my mother ever loved was John Collins there is a lot that went on back then that did not come out in the trial and I wish if they had DNA that they would run it because I do believe it would exonerate John and I believe it would implicate Clyde

How do you explain California? They had more evidence than Michigan had implicating Collins.

They needed to solve a murder & he may have been their Stooge?? It is possible - evidence can be altered, especially if they think he was guilty but cannot prove it.

@@chamberizer You obviously haven't done any research into this horrific event(s) or, (if you have) you are living in severe denial.

@@RAV1953 I read the book years ago. I just watched the old "Kelly & Company" episode: His lawyer's conclusion was that John was convicted by the jury - just to be safe. He was in Ortonville with friends the night they placed the mannequin, so could not have been the person that touched it. It would be nice if they had conclusion evidence like DNA. I am not taking sides but think there was reasonable doubt.

@@chamberizer Please do more research...MSP matched his DNA to one or two of the victims, 20 years after this happened. Please remember, they had eye witnesses to the last victim getting on Collins' motorcycle.
