A song written by the great Renaissance English composer William Byrd. Only some of the lyrics survive, as during the reformation (a hundred or so years later), an attempt was made to "clean up" popular songs and use them for religious purposes.

Here's what we still have for lyrics:
John, come kiss me now, now, now,
O John come kiss me now,
John come kiss me by and by,
And make nae mair ado.
Some will court and compliment,
And make a great ado,
Some will make of their goodman,
And sae will I of you.
