I THINK IT'S VERY IGNORANT OF ANYONE TO CONCLUDE THAT THIS SONG IS ABOUT JOHN'S PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. If that's the case then what do we say about all the sweet love songs he sang praising his first wife long before Carol came into the picture??He's an artist and that's what they do,they reflect what goes on in the society.
