I called up my brother in law to come help widen the driveway and cut back the banks with his John Deere 1025r, enclosed heated Mauser cab, 54" front mount pto driven quick hitch snowblower, rear blade just to balance the weight of the snowblower, turf tires and no chains. We have roughly 146" of snowfall this season so far with 32" ground cover. I normally use a Husqvarna ST 227P walk behind. It takes about an hour to clear 6-8" snow on my 200' driveway using the Husqvarna. I had to have someone come in with a snowplow before this cleaning. This left some icy edges and you can hear the John Deere making ice cubes fly at several points in the video. Being on the Keweenaw Peninsula, sticking out into Lake Superior, we get regular snowstorms that drop snow, then followup lake effect snow for an extra couple of days after the storm front, and get 250 to 300"+ of snowfall each year.
I was impressed with the snow removal capabilities of this compact tractor. It sliced through the bank at the start of the video easier than I expected. It went pretty quick widening the driveway. The tractor is easily towed with a half-ton pickup on a car hauler trailer.

you should look into a linear actuator for controlling the chute tilt from the cab. Got mine from E bay.

I sure hope that you are not paying him by the hour. He seems to not know what he is doing. You never blow the snow at a building, and why would you blow the snow across where you have already cleared? That just makes more work for yourself. Know you have to clear it off again! The tractor seems to be working good though.

If I may suggest something, when having to go thru a high snowbank, hit it first with the blower raised, then follow thru with it lowered, and it doesn't help to shoot the snow ahead of the blower, as you're just increasing the workload, send the snow on the sides.

B2650 is a much larger tractor. I went with a JD 2025r and it's been working well for me.

Doesn’t that blower have adjustable skids on it? You’re tearing up a lot of sod. Most costumers would frown upon that.

Too bad you didn't look into buying the Frontier front mounted blower instead of the JD yellow blower. The difference in performance is laughable. The JD blower is overpriced and does not move snow as efficiently as the Frontier. You do need a specific front mount for the Frontier but when we trade our 455 with the 47" blower we definitely will be buying the Frontier (RadTech). No comparison. Love your 1025r with cab, same as we are buying except with optional rear remotes.

I find this to be VERY common among John Deere snowblower videos. They tend to blow the snow over the same area they just covered and then have to go back and blow it again. It's also common for them to start at the road and blow the snow toward the house instead of starting at the house and blowing it away from the house. For example, check out this dumb fuck. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q61ljaulq9OmcXk.html Instead of starting at the top of the hill and pushing the snow downhill away from the church, he starts at the road and repeatedly pushes the snow uphill and piles it up next to the church.

Doesn't this guy know how to operate a tractor? Just let the snowblower keep eating the snowbank! I've gone through drips higher than that with my Ariens Deluxe 28. I was over the handlebars!!! The guy standing there with the shovel could have done it faster! John Deere could have made a fortune giving that Bozo operating lessons! That guy is going to wear out the reverse gear. C'Mon man, let the big dog eat!!! It's painful to watch. I just kept watching to see how many mistakes one man could make! I lied! I couldn't watch it all the way to the end!
