Pre-plowing with the tiller stand must make it easier for the tiller to till. LOL I'm glad to see other do things I do all the time. Nice video. Thanks

I would like to express my appreciation for your video. My father in law is 94, and has really been wanting this new attachment for the ranch. It’s hard for him to go shopping around and “kicking tires” as he puts it, so he watched your video about four times, and has decided to make the purchase! As long as his sons do the actual work!

I used to play in the fields after my Grandpa would till. Sounds weird I guess but when I smell a freshly plowed field it takes me back to my childhood. Enjoyed watching!

Tilling has always been one of my favorite tractor activities, I just don't have a need to do it as much as I'd like. Btw, your camera person was letting you down. In the forefront of the video, you could see you guys left the tiller kickstand down to do it's own trenching. Of course, I think just about all of us have done that from time to time. Using a tiller sure beats a shovel, LOL!

Good morning Jeff! For the amoung of tilling i do i just borrow one but i took a look the other day and prices are going through the roof! How much land does the 200 new trees consume?
@watkinstreefarm6880
@watkinstreefarm6880 2 жыл бұрын
The general rule 1000 per acre. This fall will be mainly to fill in all the dead trees.

I have a belly mower and a PTO chipper for my 1025. Whenever I engage the PTO for either, I am at idle then throttle up after its engaged. When I engaged the PTO at a high throttle it would always make a loud smack sound from the shock that I did not like. Not saying its right or wrong, I just never liked the sound of it engaging the drive shaft at anything over a low throttle. I do not have a tiller so not sure if that is different. I am also not running a clutch on my drive shafts, which may make a difference. From the video it looks like you throttled up then engaged the PTO. Love the vlogs btw!

Thanks for watching. I don't know what the correct way is. My mower smacks like that but haven't noticed with the tiller.

Frontier= Built to break. Cast mounting arms broke, fishplated with 1/2 × 2 flat bar, then the 2 piece gearbox split apart, unfixable, total junk. Replaced with 48" Woods, same cast iron gearbox as 60", no more tiller problems. Top link ears on trans on both 1023 and 1025 broke off. Like japanese dirt bikes, built to break

We till an excessive amount of mulched leaves into our soil along with rabbit and chicken manure. We only use whats on our property. No store bought fertilizers. We produce an abundant amount of veggies on our small property. I’m jealous of your land.
