John Deere 2030 hydraulic pump tear down!!!

Working on rebuilding the hydraulic pump on the John Deere 2030. After I lost the hydraulic pressure while baling hay.

Why wouldn't you clean that pump before you started work?

I should think that to save some time and energy you'd only need to stamp the case once with #1 as the starting point then stamp the caps 1 to 8 in order. As long as you put them back in in the same direction you took them out you're set. Good video.

I was using the bush hog today,when I stopped some the transmission oils was coming out from the small relief under the transmission. Thank you

I would check your fluid level sounds like it was overfilled . That's where I would start .

Greetings from Romania! What brand of repair kit would you recommend for a JD 3040 pump(identical with the one in the video)? Would you recommend changing everything inside the pump? They don t have complete kits at the JD dealerships in Romania. In what situation you won t recommend rebuilding the pump,when there is play in the holes where the pistons go? I really need your help,i don t want to spend 600 USD for a repair kit if the pump is useless. Have you ever heard of Vapormatic repair kits ,are they any good? Thanks in advance for any advice !

If there is play in the holes pump housing is probably bad . But without seeing it I can't say for sure. I used JD parts because they had them in stock in town . Change all seals and o rinds And you do not have to change all part but look for damage in bad springs the rod inside of it that goes in between both housings was bent in mine and that was the main problem but again without seeing it I don't know what I was wrong

@@HendricksonFamilyFarm Thanks alot! It s unbelivable,here in Romania ,the JD dealership prices are much higher then US and everywhere else i think. The offer for a new JD pump was 8000 USD and the tractor was 6000 USD. The repair kits are gonna be about 2000 USD. I mean what s happening,if you wanna buy something decent ,you have to be skinned alive?

Did you look on eBay there may be a used one on there or a remanufactured one cheaper . Is if you can do eBay there? And you time to wait for it . Sorry I wasn't more help .

@@HendricksonFamilyFarm My brother want s to buy second hand. I NEVERhad any luck with sh stuff. I m going to rebuild it myself with a kit from VAPORMATIC company . I understand that they are a premium producer,their stuff is in new JD equipement. You did helped me alot it s just that i don t really know if the housing is good for rebuild. It looks good but i don t know the tolerances between piston and bore. I will search right now for a pdf technical manual for the pump. I was gonna buy JD parts ,but they made my blood boil with those prices. Wishing you the best!
