Based on what I read in the John Deere technical manuals that came with my 310D, a grease containing at least 3% Molydenum Disulfide is recommended. I don't think that red sticky grease contains any. I rustled up some NLGI #2 with 5% that was spec'd for bulldozers and other extremely heavy construction equipment. It is dark grey in color.

I have the same issues on our 310J and the center pin was the same way with no hole for grease to go. I ended up just slathering grease on the pin and housing and called it good for now. Ours just plows snow so no real bucket tilt but this is why I pump grease until its dripping off the pins quite heavy in the fall so it doesn't clog up and during the winter its just a few clicks with the Milwaukee grease gun. I also installed zerk covers on all the grease fittings and that seems to hold up well.

I have the same 310d. You worked on the dummy lights in one of your videos, would you know the part number on that whole box? Kids had broken all the gages and windows on the one inwas given.

This what went bad ...it's under the control handle....this one was for the tilt...it's called.the ball joint ...can't download a picture now ..

the starting aid is a propane torch cylinder - not starting fluid

Have you had to fix the front bucket controls? Have the same backhoe. The tilt broke at the control. Have to take off the cover.
