Join along as we head out with the 1982 John Deere 4640 for the 1st time on the chisel plows. With some ground worked up it's time to see what the newly acquired ground is. Then headed out to get a pump to solve our sand in the manure tanker issue. Thanks for watching along.

Chris, 1, chisel plow at an angle that will help with the stalks flow through! 2, with duels and saddle tanks on you will be using the brakes to steer the tractor most of the time! 3, just the look of the grass in them low spots is a good sign its wet!

Chisel at an angle and you will plug less. Or hit it with a disk to chop it up a little. Hi, Yenko! I love Heelers!!

Chris watching the 4640 takes me back 40 years ago. The big horse on the farm was a 4640 and it was set up exactly like yours is now. And interestingly had a few experiences getting stuck like that. Keep up the good work it is hard to be a one man show!

That why you get things in contract an prepay fertilizer. There is no Such thing as a handshake an word of mouth anymore . You have to start plowing or chiseling in the fall. An chisel on a angle .

Duffy. I almost thought you were going to make it 1 day without spending any money on something besides the fuel you were running in your tractor but nope. You spent a good amount on a pump and hoses which should have been cleaned out at the last farm or at least billed out for a cleaning fee. After 40 years of farming. One thing I learned was you have to keep your expenses low or you will never get ahead. I’m rooting for you because I know it’s tough to start a farm from scratch and I hope you get your fertilizer situation figured out sooner than later. Good luck !!

We use to chisel at an angle, it helped the stalks feed thru the chisel. Might give it a try.

A little piece a advice. When working corn stocks go at an angle, and they will work up better. Plus, it moves your soil fracture points around more.

When we chisel plowed we started in the center of the field at a slight angle so you actually ripped the corn stalk roots out and avoid ridges, the hit the other half and the did the end rows last.

One thing I did was hung a piece of 6 inch pipe off the back of my chisel plow.....does a nice job of leveling....I know that isn't your chisel plow, but something to think about it the future. Another winning combo I have found is a field cultivator with a rolling basket harrow behind it.....does an amazing job!!!

Anyways, great job! Glad to see that you got your duals on how much does it cost you to woodson beet juice it also adds weight, I know there is another option as well is to put water in the tire as well I would add weight. I'm glad to see that you're going to be successful this year and so grateful to see you’re succeeding it's like you were last year I saw a couple a comment that really bothered me about whatever from the last video you did just had the if people are being disrespectful to you on those comments you can block them like I have on my KZfaq channel. Keep it up! Mr. Duffy, whatever you do, I want to make sure you know, I'm not telling you what to do, but I would view is allowed at the parental guidelines that KZfaq has put in place which allows us to block certain disrespectful comments or block them entirely, which they can still comment on their end, but allows no one else see it at all, meaning it throws that comment into like a trash or spam been where no one is able to see it, excerpts who are on KZfaq in our own channel, or we can put them on time, I was anyway gives us a lot of choices that we can prevent disrespectful comments from our community on KZfaq, I suggest we use them, I know I have. You will succeed this year no matter what you do this year you are succeeding to the best of your ability and never lose that site as grandfather always said if you lose the site, you lose your dream. Sincerely! R.S.V.

That ground you played in will take five to heal. Stay out of the mud. Want to see you get done, but this is the year go around the wet holes. You can ruin a good farm by mudding it. If you had colters or row of disk in the front of the chisel you would be ok in them stalks Where you left off should be disked.

@robertmiller9645. At best his farm will only ever be marginal. So trucking is the thing that will give him an income. He has no money for cattle or he would have bought more. The silos have given him no return. Another careful driver on a contract rate would work. But would need someone who cares for the gear and is able to nurse it and not abuse it. Hopefully the Government loan for the farm is not too steep and he is able to pay it. Not sure how much he can make from youtube but that may be his salavation.
