@@negasonicteenagewarhead It does, because nitrogen comes from the air and there's nitrogen fixing plants like peas and beans

@@negasonicteenagewarhead Yes it does. You can see a significant growth in next crop, that is its short term benefit. If you use nitrogen fixing green manure then it will help in fixing soil nitrogen via atmospheric nitrogen. It can also help increase soil organic matter. Which is another holy grail of agriculture.

We do it here in Tennessee… Every 5 years or so we plant grass after harvest, then we go through with a mower and a plow. It helps yield a lot! Of course not everyone does it but we do it on our farm.

Ist arbeits technisch praktisch aber ackerbaulich schlecht die grüne Pflanzen gleich ein zu pflügen im Silo ist der Silbervorgang erwünscht auf den Feld nicht da sollen die Pflanzen zersetzt werden und Nährstoff freizusetzen für die nächste Kultur. Schöne Grüße Hans

Because is produces less yield and is more susceptible to disease/ spreading disease, promotes the growth of harmful/ hard to kill weeds and requires equipment to be purchased/ re-outfitted. It’s not practical.
